I think your statement is untrue. a ford Ka in standard form is far more fuel efficient than a BMW. if you look at the 2.0 rs turbo lump it will return more miles to the gallon in standard form than the M3 lump. .. un-efficient? Ford engines are solid and the parts are cheap... a ford ka gets a 3 star ncap rating .by comparison a 2001 plate m3 gets a 4 star rating? at 140mph your more than likely dead either way..

I'm currently building a Mk3 Fiesta, i bought it with the RS Turbo bumpers but they are long gone, it's now wearing boggo 1.1 bumpers, looks completely standard, even running steel wheels. Plan's are to turbo the 2.0ltr zetec I've put in, around 300bhp is the target. I can't wait to dick some M3 drivers!

Too heavy straight away. Not the kind of car for it. You'll have all the BHP in the world but it wont move cos they're wont be any torque. MAYBE if you went the whole hog and stripped EVERYTHING, drill holes out and plastic windows at the rear, then you could maybe RWD it and put in a bigger motorbike engine with a turbo like the hyabusa or turbo a big BMW bike engine and do work to the head etcetc... OR you could just save ur time and money and buy an RS fiesta or something worth it
@bigbollocks69 used the std KA ib5 gearbox - quaife diff, shot peend gear sets. the FRS boxes ratios are a mile off when used with 16inch wheels. with the ka box it hit 67mph is second and 178mph (real speed) @ 7.2krpm in 5th.
ran almost 400 ft lbs of toque and the box never missed a beat. the wheels just spin....
@ka1ka2ka3 lets see it go past 120mph, to keep up with most decent familly cars that are limited to 155mph, thats when you need "an ego extension" to keep up with good cars, not your mates tiny tonka toys

@chazamancan Those alloys are called TSW Catalunya's and are sweet. A relative has them on his MK3 Mondeo in 17" fitment. They look the dogs. Available in Silver/Silver or Anthracite/Silver finishes. Hope this helps.

@richardthek whys that then mate? they handel better then fiesta's (way less over hang on the body to the wheels) way lighter then escorts and focus's. many would say it would be a waste to put the engine in anything other then a ka. also being 'a girls car' makes it a dam good sleeper, rather then an posh, expensive, ego extension.....

@richardthek Dude KA was my first car, it may not have good street cred but it has some damn good handling. I've driven a Mustang GT and a Ferrari 360 spyder. I still think the KA handles better.

im with ka1ka2ka3 on this one its said that the chassis is quite unique and gd to mke into a performance road car you dnt really no what your talkin about hats off to joe for building an amazing car :) im building myn now atm and if you think ka's are for girls uv ov not used ur head if u pull up at the lights in a focus rs wld any1 want to race you no but if u pull up in an rs powered ka evryone will n tbh that engine in a ka is better than in the focus rs cuz its liter and handles better

@chazamancan Those alloys are called TSW Catalunya's and are sweet. A relative has them on his MK3 Mondeo in 17" fitment. They look the dogs. Available in Silver/Silver or Anthracite/Silver finishes. Hope this helps.

@richardthek whys that then mate? they handel better then fiesta's (way less over hang on the body to the wheels) way lighter then escorts and focus's. many would say it would be a waste to put the engine in anything other then a ka. also being 'a girls car' makes it a dam good sleeper, rather then an posh, expensive, ego extension.....
