@elementdude77i can see where your comming from since they were in the band before, the main thing is John Fruscanti is the glue to the red hot chili peppers he writes all the music and he is the guitarist that was assoicated with all there great music.A good example is when Chris Cornell got together tom morrelo n his crew , they didnt call themselves soundargen or rage against the machine, they called themselves AUDIOSLAVE. So why call RHCP without there nucleus John Frushanti?

@Bocharlesband Because two of the founding members, ie, Flea and Anthony, were the ones who started the entire band in the first place. And they called themselves Audioslave because they were making DIFFERENT music, not to cover both of their previous respective bands' music (though they did a handful of times, but that's not the point).

I think Josh is gonna get better with the band in time the more he gets comfortable playing with them live. He's obviously getting the job done now and playing it sorta safe but I think he'll let loose in time and let us all know how good he is. John is gone so let's give Josh a chance. The new songs shown on the secret shows continue to grow on me. The songs are a little different but that's a good thing.

But dudes right, they improvise, and also try to stay in sync with there ear buds.... which sometimes means to skip words... or adding new better lyrical quotes throughout

Holy Hell! That solo was refreshing!! I love the original, it was simplistic and masterful and full of the mood of the song. But Josh has made it his own and I LOVE this!!! I hope Josh took that type of approach to the new tracks as well!

Holy smokes, there's not a single person at the show with their phone up recording. At the Nevada City show there were SO many people recording with their phones it was nuts! The guy next to me recorded the whole thing, not even paying attention to the show the ENTIRE time. I like the videos, but imagine if EVERYBODY recorded the whole time what will happen to the concerts. As for as far as the concert goes: I think Josh did a great job, but I have to agree I do not feel the same emotions expressed like John Frusciante did, but there aren't many guitarists that can do that the way JF did...
