bj penn doesn't do well when he loses focus, he loses focus when he's pissed off and he's similar to tyson in that he feeds off of his opponents intimidation, when his opponent is not slightly nervous he doesn't do as well. I dont think edgar is the more skilled fighter i just think bj didnt work that hard, his takedown defense was that dance he does on one leg, and edgar got control of his hips and boom, but bj has defended stronger takedowns before, it hurt to see him lose that fight :(
bj penn needs to stop ONLY using his powerful jabs and punches, he needs to learn how to mix up his jabs with some takedowns, legkicks more often now and he kinda need to work on his stamina and his speed.

Maynard has a higher percentage of decisions in his victories than Edgar plus recently winning back to back splits prior to Florian.

bj penn doesn't do well when he loses focus, he loses focus when he's pissed off and he's similar to tyson in that he feeds off of his opponents intimidation, when his opponent is not slightly nervous he doesn't do as well. I dont think edgar is the more skilled fighter i just think bj didnt work that hard, his takedown defense was that dance he does on one leg, and edgar got control of his hips and boom, but bj has defended stronger takedowns before, it hurt to see him lose that fight :(

@TEB055808 Well I grow up in Long Island so I support Serra but the fight was a year ago and a decision wasn't the best way to end a grudge match but whatever. Hughes is the best WW of all time. I don't care about Edgar but I don't like Maynard so I'm hopeful for Edgar again. And you should at least be consistent with your preaching. Maynard has a higher percentage of decisions in his victories than Edgar plus recently winning back to back splits prior to Florian.

But you see so many fighters so obsessed with getting the W that they don't take any risk. I would rather the fight be called a draw.
