I like to think of spacetime or the aether as a surface (read Flatland) in a higher dimentional realitiy. Also, read 'Michelson Morely experiment' and you will see why it (aether) was dismissed. By redfining the term aether, it has made a comeback.

I have been working on a theory of everything for over twenty years and have come up with something similar to this guy. He has it a little wrong, the particle line up like what he says when you have an electric field not a magnetic field. With the magnetic field, the particles are arranged similar, but they are spinning. They spin because the spinning electrons inside the material spin in the same direction causing a magnetic field.

@slowmopoke basically each atom in a magnet forms a tiny magnet in which only a small percent align the same direction, most atoms in ordinary matter aren't lined up so they are not magnetic, although all atoms are magnetic.

It could have been said a little faster, but there certainly is some interesting information here. I always thought as well that they dismissed the aether theory too soon. I think a possible error of their proof might be in assuming an aether "wind" theory verification, when we really don't know what the nature of this macroscopically invisible "substance" is in the first place.

@BrokenAeroVT Spot on, I totally agree. They had a wrong assumption about what the aether was and how it behaved. Then they did an experiment which disproved their wrong assumption. Then they had another wrong assumption that the aether doesn't exist, idiots. They are trying to find a theory of everything without an aether, good luck to those establishment morons. @nikolayzou If I'm not mistaken, I think the Michelson-Morely experiment was designed with the intention of proving the aether existed, not disproving it. Nevertheless, it would seem many people, who refer to that experiment to deny an aether, also (but willfully) rely on the possibly errant assumptions of what the aether is and how it behaves. It's kind of like winning a debate disproving a "rain is wet" theory because your opponent did a shabby job defending himself.

@BrokenAeroVT Yes I think you are right, they strongly believe that there was an aether and they set up the experiment to prove it existed. I guess the very first assumption was that there is an aether, which was correct. All the other assumptions after that where wrong.

@nikolayzou Mystics have always known about a "substance" refered to in Sanskrit & the art of Yoga as "prana" that pervades all space. In newage circles it's refered to more commonly as "life energy". When healing a woman of a chronic vaginal bleed, Jesus refered to the substance he "felt leave" him as "virtue" (Elizabethan English). Martial arts experts allegedly accumulate & concentrate this "energy" into their members prior to a strike. Perhaps this substance is the aether.

There is only aether. We all accept that the universe is made up of 108elements. All 108 elements are made up of protons, neutrons and electrons (three things). Electron are vortices. Neutrons (neutral) decay into protons (+) and emit an electron (-) and an anti-neutrino (energy).

There is no such thing as charge. Think of it as an endless ocean of water in every direction, nothing but water (the aether). This water can flow and spin up vortices (low pressure). Vortices react to other vortices.
