i just noticed that it is almost like a shell that conceals its wings and its entire body. Wow. Slow Mo gives me a chance to learn new things and see things that are basically impossible to see in real time.
PLEASE DONT READ THIS!In 1971 a guy named Kyle an his girlfriend Emily were in side a house that was said to claim peoples lives if they entered the house. The next morning a guy named Alex saw fingernail marks on the door.if you dont post this to 5 videos, youll be getting a visit from Kyle and Emily tonight!WARNING:this has been proved to be real,i value my life!whoever reads this may God be with you! I TRULY DO APOLOGIZE!!! PS i got this from another vid ( i am not taking my chances
to get the very high frame rates of these clips to show the detail we could only shoot at lower resolution. When the image is on the edge of exposure or a little under then blown up it gets worse. I am using new software that helps. I need to spend about $250,000 to fix it. If I could make enough here I would do it but for now that is as good as it it gets.I will try a few other things to help.We are devoloping a new site that will have improved content also. Thanks for the comments,Enjoy Alan
@ultraslo Yes - you can imagine what amount of light is actually being received by the camera, per frame, to realise why the detail is less than potentially possible. Its a trade off between exposure and detail I'm afraid.
@MrBoggerly When we shot this we used tungsten lights. If the bug did not move fast it would be cooked. Since then we have developed our own 1000 watt led lights that are cool so we can shoot macro insects and not cook them. The next big thing will be higher res cameras.
7k fps would either give you the ability to make the vid much slower, or make the quality insanely good. 7k is better than 5k in every way except how much storage space the video requires (which is a LOT)
would of enjoyed this but only 360 p D:

Wow, each of its wing moves 180 degrees. Imagine the force of gravity on that poor bug. Excellent video. Thank you and keep it up.
