  • would of enjoyed this but only 360 p D:

  • FLIGHT MODE, ACTIVATE!

  • I've always wanted to really SEE them moving.

Great video, wish it had music.

  • Wow, look at that angle! It's a VTOL ladybug!

  • eeew.

    but COOL.

  • Wow! This is amazing! I never knew ladybugs used their wings like that! I never even knew that had wings like that =DD

  • i just noticed that it is almost like a shell that conceals its wings and its entire body. Wow. Slow Mo gives me a chance to learn new things and see things that are basically impossible to see in real time.

  • I CAN TRANSFORM YA!-Chris Brown

  • how nice would it be if we could flap arms at that pace to slowly levitate

  • I had no idea it's wings are sooo long. /5

  • they fold them from under preety cool for such a small thing

  • LADY COPTER!!

  • u own ultraslo... plz make my babies :)

  • only if he films it in ultraslo

  • ^ win

  • AH MY GOD LADYBUGGS ARE SO MUCH COOLER NOW :o

  • you are awesome ultraslo

  • Has ultraSlo done a vid of dropping glass on a floor? If not, please do it, it would look awesome.

  • Ultraslo, can you make a video of two stones hitting eachother? in like 7000 FPS?

  • Awe, yeah, that would be wicked.

  • it's shell is so shiny!

  • Wooow amazing!

  • It is just wonderful! Wings seem to be shaped like those of a humming birds and move in a similar fashion.

  • Wow, each of its wing moves 180 degrees. Imagine the force of gravity on that poor bug. Excellent video. Thank you and keep it up.

  • Huston, we have lift off.

  • amazzingg.

  • transformers---More than meets the eyes..

  • XD exactly what i thought!

  • gull wing doors

  • fu*ing awesome, nice work...WHAT KIND OF LIGHTING DID YOU USE ? dig your site !

  • i would have never thought that a ladybug taking flight could be so... interesting?

  • try lighting a lighter on slow mo

  • that is actualyl very gross looking... the wings are so creepy looking

  • Woad, that's awesome! I never knew their wings actually spread like that @.@

  • damn fuck those lady bugs show something else

  • I wonder how confusing it would be if you some how bumped the camera

  • wow this is 5000fps?

  • impressive...

  • cool but quality is getting worse

  • to get the very high frame rates of these clips to show the detail we could only shoot at lower resolution. When the image is on the edge of exposure or a little under then blown up it gets worse. I am using new software that helps. I need to spend about $250,000 to fix it. If I could make enough here I would do it but for now that is as good as it it gets.I will try a few other things to help.We are devoloping a new site that will have improved content also. Thanks for the comments,Enjoy Alan

  • Do you sell this videos to any documentary producers or something like that?

    love your vids :D

  • No these vids are probably from the documentarys lol.

  • @ultraslo Yes - you can imagine what amount of light is actually being received by the camera, per frame, to realise why the detail is less than potentially possible. Its a trade off between exposure and detail I'm afraid.

  • @MrBoggerly When we shot this we used tungsten lights. If the bug did not move fast it would be cooked. Since then we have developed our own 1000 watt led lights that are cool so we can shoot macro insects and not cook them. The next big thing will be higher res cameras.

    Enjoy

  • awesome!

    macro high speed:D

  • I never knew the lady bugs wings were under the red!!

  • are...are you kidding?

    wow...

(and no, im not trying to sound like a douche)

  • Sry for not studying ladybugs for hours of the day

  • well if you'd pick up a common book on bugs you'd know >.>

  • may i suggest a frog catching a fly?

  • why is this vid so long?

  • Its Cool ! But i think u made a good decision instead of 7000 fps cause 5k Looks Better !!!

  • 7k fps would either give you the ability to make the vid much slower, or make the quality insanely good. 7k is better than 5k in every way except how much storage space the video requires (which is a LOT)

  • Awesome! It's like a spaceship or some complex machine taking off! :)

  • thanks Please don't forget to rate it.

    Enjoy

  • @Twinman2 Well, it IS a complex machine and it IS taking off =) Not particulary a spaceship though...

  • lolo nice

  • i wish there was sound with this. like a helicopter sound design or something. it looked cool though!

  • sweet
