Thats cool. At the begining, did he say "I Can talk, can you Fly?" And I don't have the time to train my birds. And I have 2 cats so I can't take them out, but how do you train them?
Granulomas are mostly harmless in people. Since he's so small, it's more serious, because if it grows much bigger, it might affect his ability to eat or breathe or just cause a lot of discomfort, but it doesn't seem likely to get any bigger now.
The vet thought it was cancer until the lab results came in, so really I am glad that it's a granuloma.
A granuloma is basically a walled off infection. It just popped up suddenly (over about 2 days) with no symptoms about 6 months ago and hasn't grown since.
It looks bigger when he has food in his crop (it doesn't usually look as bad as in this video).
Yes, the poor little guy has a granuloma on his throat. Because of the location (and him being such a tiny bird) the vet didn't even want to risk removing it. But he's had it awhile now and it doesn't bother him. He flies around and talks as much as always.
Mostly, no. He knows what 'wake up' and 'kiss' and 'it's ok' means. As far as I can tell, he does not understand much else. He DOES seem to understand some grammatical concepts. For example, I taught him to say 'Pippin'a a good bird' and sometimes he will change it to 'I'm a good bird'. He also comes up with his own, usually grammatically correct, sentences from words he knows.
