I used to take aikido. This is why I quit. One day, while still a white belt, my sensei asked me to attack him. Being a new student, I had not yet learned the names of the different techniques/strikes. He said something in Japanese, and, thinking I understood what he said, I attacked him with a strike to his head. I was very surprised when he was unable to defend himself, and I smacked him across his face, and his glasses went flying across the room. Embarrassed, he scolded me in front...
To add pressure and challenge, you could invite real people to really attack you in high degree tests. It would be amazing to show the world how you neutralize them without harming them. It would be important in our scientifically growing oriented society, to guarantee the future survival of Aikido, a non-fantastic Way of Peace.
How convenient that the teacher is the "absolute authority". This demands that the idiot student allow himself to be thrown around like a fool in so-called "demonstrations" designed to make the "master" look good. Despite these seemingly gross PWNings of idiot students, you continue to dodge the question of whether it is effective. So what you're saying here is that gaykido is a cult created by a sick old bastard who wanted to be worshipped like a god.
you can only understand aikido once you are at the dojo the rest is just words that come and go. Aikido is like Love.... no words can really explain it. Give yourself a chance at least to go to a dojo and train with a really qualify sensei. Open minded actitud is needed. It is no about techniques it is about human relations and love
Solely relying on physical exercise you can end up a mushroom...and might even get eaten alive. That's what happens when you don't find your Master. You resort to dirty tactics. I'm not saying that y'all do because if you get good enough better high a good lawyer.
Excellent video and a lesson for those people who think there is no Pressure testing in Aikido what is talked about here is the whole point of training yourself in the martial ways, to be better than your best.

@sebastianvalle Sounds good to me, but I'm a videographer, not an aikido practitioner. I'll ask Michael what he thinks.
