  • Hi

That would be wonderful. I have not been able to get the music out of head even twenty years later. Would love to hear it again.

  • I met the violinist in 1985 at Sussex University. This is a clip from a documentary he did on Indian / Sindhi classical music shown on BBC2. He was a very accomplished violinist in the London Philharmonic Orchestra. I cannot remember his name but he was a wonderful man.

  • I have the complete music from this prog back in the UK. I could upload some more if anyone likes. I'm in India at the mo but will be back on 14th april.

  • Dear faisal could you please tell more about this concert and are there any more videos available any where as you say that this was the BBC2 documentry and more over about the Violinist in the back as I know his name is Ustad Imdad Hussain.

  • lovely

  • i m from punjab, but sindhi music touches ones heart, beautiful, absolutely awesome... we use to hear allan faqir when we were small kids, at that time (in late 80's) ptv was the only channel and it had fantastic programs .... one should keep it alive

  • so nice, I am going to start a blog for sindhi culture, poetry and fashion, architecture. InshaAllah, if I get enough strength and time.

  • So sad, so much talent goes unrecognized and unappreciated. I don't believe that great Sindhi artists get recognition or fame they deserve. Who'll make movies about lives, talent, and struggles of artists like Allan Faqir or Khamiso Khan? Will our next Sindhi generation even know who they were? or how great artists they were?

  • Wow... Wonderful... but who is this Pakistani Violinist.. I never heared about him before !

  • Thanks for sharing this piece dude. I belong to Sindh and this made me feel proud!
