The original version of the song brings an instant feeling of Joy and Patriotism in you. This is a far cry from anything that even sounds Patriotic. The expressions on Deepika's face make it look like a seductive song at the least and seem very distasteful and disrespectful. A little more thought would have saved this wonderful song from becoming such a disgrace.

To rub salt on wounds, immediately after our Tamil sister Kavitha sings in Kannada (I just loved it and thank Kavitha for that), our Kannadati (Kannada girl) Deepika (who doesn't like to be called so), comes in a irrelevant costume and sings in Hindi.
This is not good. It's done in a hurry and overdose of bollywood ofcourse.
And why's Kavitha singing in Kannada? Just because she resides here? That's good but I think it's only her family that's shown. Weren't there any other Kannada achievers to support Kavitha?? Again, Kannada got a raw deal. In the first version too, Kannada had a screen space of around ten seconds and here too it is lesser than time allotted to other languages.
At least Kavitha is better, she has made it her home and has not offended the culture of Karnataka. Kannadigas are known for for hospitality so the combination works fine. Only thing is, she could have sang at a place of cultural importance like halebidu or even krs dam. Then they could have shown NarayaMurthy and Girish Karnad as listeners. Could have given more credibility.

it's beautiful - i like the fact that it does not stress on state-wise divisions but has a beautiful flow up and down the country, not fixing every celebrity to the state they 'belong' to. a big thank you to the makers. i will not compare it to the old one - this is definitely perfect for today!

The original version of the song brings an instant feeling of Joy and Patriotism in you. This is a far cry from anything that even sounds Patriotic. The expressions on Deepika's face make it look like a seductive song at the least and seem very distasteful and disrespectful. At least Kavitha is better, she has made it her home and has not offended the culture of Karnataka. Kannadigas are known for for hospitality so the combination works fine. Everything is anglicized, there is no need of so many celebrities, just like old one common man could have been a part. True heroes like Narayanmurthy, Ratan Tata could have shared the screen. No need for deepika, shahid or ranbir. Flow of emotion which speaks the meaning of the song though language is unknown is missing. Dosen't represent whole India too much bollywood...we have people who have done wonders in other important fields like military, politics, sports, business why are they not given proper footage n some shown at end for the sake. Not comparable to original song...it was the best. Also too much lengthy :( Cannot find cultural diversity at all.

The only thing I can assume is that anyone else to be signed up for this song, could not be signed up because they have contracts with other Cellphone service providers. (Sachin is with Airtel).
I hope Vodaphone and the Times Group dont have rights for the song and DD takes it up with those bunch of idiots who created this song and ensure that the song is never aired!!!!!

No where close to the original...very Bollywoodized....Where is Sindhi ? Where is Marathi? Where is Kannada ?Where are the beautiful North Eastern states ? I would like to see people from every walk of india. Not just religious, cultural and language diversity but also (less bollywood) more sportsmen, business men and may be some ordinary indian sitting in his office with a computer and working a factory worker making heavy steel products (remember we all are giving india its new shape and not just bollywood)

it's beautiful - i like the fact that it does not stress on state-wise divisions but has a beautiful flow up and down the country, not fixing every celebrity to the state they 'belong' to. a big thank you to the makers. i will not compare it to the old one - this is definitely perfect for today!
