Posting suggestion...can you make a video over Ain't No Crime off Piano Man? The sheet music out there doesn't get all the cool little stuff he does in that song.

@De123ification If you're a true beginner, then you might have quicker success with an easier song like "Hey Jude" or "Imagine." But try it anyway, you might be better than you think!

I'm a beginner, and after a a couple of hours I manage to play the song, with no problems at all, from the beginning to the middle of the chorus. Practise is all you need, I say. But I'm a patience person, guess you'll need patience too.

@RockPaperScissors95 On "when will you realize," the chord is Gb7 to F, then it's a Bb on "Vienna waits for you." Then the Bb just repeats until the next verse. Is that the part you're referring to?

This is so awesome. I love Billy Joel. I tried Piano Man, but as a former trumpet player new to piano that was too much. This, however, is just difficult enough to make me try, but easy enough to learn that I don't give up. Thanks for your videos. I learn better by watching then reading.

You're probably hearing the bass note being played first. The rhythms are a little bit syncopated.. For many chords on this song, I'll play the lower bass note a half beat or so before the rest of the chord. Is that what you're referring to?

I do play the chords twice in many parts of the song, just to keep the rhythm going. The notes in between are just me breaking up the chords a bit into individual notes.

I saw the other video you have playing the full version through and it was really really good. I was just wondering if it was possible for you teach us the solo?

Yes, the solo... I had originally planned to do a separate video on that and just forgot to do it.. I think I had about ten videos I did that session, and lost track of what I'd done and hadn't done. Anyway, I should be able to get that one done eventually. Kind of makes learning the song complete that way!
