I was at this show - and could swear that was my blonde head blocking the view @ 1:43!

While I love the music - there is NO better music than the roar of the afterburners of an F-18Hornet! The Angels totally rock!

lol oh I agree! Love the sound of the engines. That's why I leave the sound in most of my airshow vids. But sometimes I just have fun with music too. Watch the 2006 vid for the natural sounds of the show, if you haven't already.:)

I plan to be at the beach show this summer. We always go on base, this will be firt beach show, can't wait!

MrFoKai, they were probably doing training in El Centro, but I don't know. They had to move their home base to El Centro NAF because of the hurricanes damaging the Blue Angels HQ iat NAS Pensacola, but thats my opinion.

Your stills are excellent, in particular the barrell roll break pic at the end. I noticed the bald guy in front of you. There was a bald guy in front of me at the Salinas CA show 2004. How come tall bald guys (no offense) always have front row seats? I am in the front row at Miramar in October '06 - no bald guys then.

Wow, I'd love to see a show at Miramar. Do the Thunderbirds perform there as well? We'll be at the show at NAS in November. I hope to get some better vids, hopefully with no heads, bald or not, blocking my veiw!lol

pretty cool - consider tightening the shot to get dramatic close ups of the planes in flight - just my 2 cents - you got some fantastic stills in there - nice work. :)

Thanks for the advice, the next show at the base is coming up in nov. I'll keep that in mind. I normally just shoot stills, but I've found video fun to work with as well.

We're going back to the show, on the base (Pensacola, Fl) in November. I hope to get some better shots this year. We go every year, LOVE IT!
