I could easily listen to this music all the time I was hoping that someone today would have a soulful 60's type of singing. Any producer should be telling her to cut the vibrato... it's intrusive and irritating... but it seems her management have decided it's her trademark and it's being done to death.

Having followed Duffy since her inception with Bernard Butler long before her first album was released, I'm afraid I'm jumping ship - her songs have become excruciating to listen to (Diet Coke advert anyone?) It's a shame really given 'Rockferry' and 'Distant Dreamer' were such classics.

What I meant was the "Gimmicks" pop stars used nowadays to sell records, like saying controversial things and wearing ridiculous outfits.

I also don't mid variety, but honestly, MOST pop songs today, like Katy Perry's and Lady Gaga's, are just rehashes of old songs from the past. I mean, If you have a good ear in music, you can tell that the chord progressions of the melodies have been in other songs. For example: "Pokerface" has the same melody as Britney's "Womanizer".....

I know these songs sound totally different from each other, but, like I said, the producers are just masking them up with different beats/instrumentals/pitch/spee­d , etc.
