The Warrior had the intensity and put in the long hours in the gym to take himself straight to the top. He captured the imaginations of millions and I was one of them. Can't hate on him for that. Earthquake and many monster heels of that era made lots of cash facing Hogan and the Warrior in main event packed houses... BELIEVE IT.

This led to them spot a big man who was asked whats your name he said John (simular to Bigshow/Giants Debut) , the plain clothed John then jumped on Warriors back while he was trying to do a Press up, then he Earthquake Splashed him.
This match was on TV, on Prime Time i remember seeing it way back then.
Its always hard to do a good match against a big heavy guy you cant throw around, and especially considering Warriors set of Moves, thats why Hogans matches was better with Quake as his only move that required effort was to body slam him, then he goes for his big boot/leg drop combo. (not saying Hogan is better ability than Warrior).
Its kinda like Goldberg would have tough match, because his finisher would not be done.

Hulk Hogan had to come out of retirement 102 of 12,213 or so simply because the Worrier was simply too one deminsional as the World Champion. man these were the days. Ppvs were like every 4 or 6 months, there was REAL, lasting build up, you only saw the real maineventers wrestle on ppv or at best saturday nights main event. Now wrestlemaina main events are hotshotted on tv. I guess the business had to evolve since then like everything else in life...
Over time Earthquake got better i thought, wehn he teamed up with Typhoon; formely known as Steamboat. The Natural Disasters were one of the best teams.
The Warrior might seem annoying to some now, but he was entertaining. Especially if you compare him to the hacks that are in the sport today. Batista? One of the worst wrestlers of all-time. Goldberg? Thank goodness he quit. Steve Austin? Terrible in ring moves. Warrior, like Hogan, was a power wrestler, and people just don't appreciate that quality. Earthquake was phenomenal. He should have been a champ. He would've been a better choice than Sgt. Slaughter back then.

man these were the days. Ppvs were like every 4 or 6 months, there was REAL, lasting build up, you only saw the real maineventers wrestle on ppv or at best saturday nights main event. Now wrestlemaina main events are hotshotted on tv. I guess the business had to evolve since then like everything else in life...

Over time Earthquake got better i thought, wehn he teamed up with Typhoon; formely known as Steamboat. The Natural Disasters were one of the best teams.

The Warrior might seem annoying to some now, but he was entertaining. Especially if you compare him to the hacks that are in the sport today. Batista? One of the worst wrestlers of all-time. Goldberg? Thank goodness he quit. Steve Austin? Terrible in ring moves. Warrior, like Hogan, was a power wrestler, and people just don't appreciate that quality. Earthquake was phenomenal. He should have been a champ. He would've been a better choice than Sgt. Slaughter back then.
