I would have hung up on him. I did phone work for a while and there is no reason to be so nasty to the person who just answers the phone.

She tried to re-direct him but if he doesn't listen there is no reason to put up with that crap.

Yikes, the caller's rudeness to the employee was just uncalled for. If he wants to work to see sexist commercials removed, he's gotta play his cards right. (Like ask her who he should send complaints to; not blame her personally for the commercial.)
