do not move to syracuse....i live here and it took 2 full hours in 2011 for out first stabbing death...ppl here are crack ...heroine and meth atticts...but we do have su basketball!
Dont ever buy a House there and rent it you will get so many violations from the city Authority I know someone who owns a rental home there they get lead paitn and all sorts of issues. That city is A third world dump.
i grew up in liverpool, which is a suburb of cuse, but i've been in the city enough to say that i live there...for a while i hated living there, but now that ive been other places, i can honestly say that i love the city and the area...great place to grow up
@DOorDIE44 I agree. Syracuse was a vigorous town up unto the late 1970s. That area has lot's of charm, history and much more. I would never criticize that city. I'd rather grow up there than anywhere in the country. It's a unique place and I'm glad I gew up there. Kind regards.
Huh... you forgot the lovely family friendly neighborhood of Catherine St. and the wonderful child welcoming Lodi St. And what about the wonderful bustling and prosperous Warren Street? And who can forget the ever growing South Salina Street!
LOL the last two comments... I guess you had to grow up here to appreciate the clouds and snow. I don't live in Syracuse anymore, but I loved growing up there. This is a good tour.
That was great! Thanks for the tour. I grew up for part of my childhood in Syracuse. Before we moved out of state, we lived near Clinton Square. I used to ride my bicycle around that area. Good times, so many memories. I hope downtown gets on it's feet. It was kinda rough when I was a kid.
I don't know Sean, I feel like I only got about 8 1/2 cents worth...and 8 cents of that is the part about Clinton Square. I grew up in Syracuse....where's the love? Probably the real question is where's the money? I graduated from Central Tech....fond memories of Lincoln Auditorium...they don't make em like that anymore. What a shame so many of those great buildings are gone.

@TheGangstar86 Let me guess, the South Side? Anyway, the rest of the city isn't like that, so don't judge something by only looking at one area!

The city is dead. Well on its way to another Newark, Gary, Indiana, or Detroit.
