  • Canadian bands were/are. Even today, we still are laying it out there when it comes to music in all genere's.

  • mikbro34, totally agree. would be interesting to see if this song was released today as a new song, what it would chart? timeless classic. Regarding Canadian music in the 80's or as a whole, bad management, marketing, cost a lot of fine musicians and bands. Harlequin, Streetheart, Toronto, Platinum Blonde, Trooper, are all great bands that didnt have a lot of success and should have. Loverboy was able to break it to an extent, but who was their mgr? If I recall Gene Simmons acknowledged how good

  • Fuck Chuck Norris Im So sick Of Them Adds

  • It does have a resemblance to Paperback Writer... for just about a bar or two.

  • "Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book? It took me years to write, will you take a look? I was thinking of you"..come on people, ask a friend what Beatle song "Thinking of You" 's verse sounds like. I have done it with 3 of my friends already and all three thought it over and said "Paperback Writer" without any coersion..Can anything be more obvious?..Ask the writers, Belanger and Hannah yourself...

  • @doomsword86 Yeah bro rush is good :)

  • @KafutafishLK. beiber is a fucking pussy. to compare that fuckhead with any canadian rock bands from the seventies or eighties is not right. you can compare that dildo with those queer boy bands from the eighties and nineties but not with harlequin.

  • @fro0tlups GO CANADA EH!

  • 100 % not kim mitchell, this is by Harlequin

  • @fro0tlups This is NOT Kim Mitchell .....this is 100 percent Harlequin !! I can see how you would mix them up - there is a similar sound I pretty much wore this out when I was a teen in the early 80's

  • @MommaDiva68 Actually I thought when I first heard it on CHOM it was April Wine, Hahaha.

  • @fro0tlups This is absolutely NOT Kim MItchell. Shame on anyone for thinking so. Listen to Patio lanterns, then listen to this....

Both excellent artists, but very very different.

  • @fro0tlups NOT Kim Mitchell...

  • @fro0tlups this is not kim!!!

  • @fro0tlups A lot of Canadians have good tastes in music because of influences from British music (Beatles, Zeppelin, Oasis, etc.) media, if you catch my drift. But more recently, Canadians have been more influenced by American (some sort of rap, what some call pop) media. A comparison could be Harlequin to Justin Beiber. I'm not discouraging anybody from critizing my example, or idea.

  • I agree I've seen these guys, Streetheart, Trooper, April Wine all at local venues, and they all put on a Rockn show!!! Nothing like good Canadian bands!

    Rock n Roll Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • harlequin, trooper, streetheart even honeymoon suite - great canadian rock bands from late 70s and 80s when chum-am ruled.

  • Honeymoon Suite...not THAT is a name I haven't heard in a long time. Great band!

  • you know talentshow098. your daddy taught you well. canadian bands like this deserve the respect that they worked their butts off for. nice to see that the younger generation respects good old rock n roll. take care.
