This 1st song is called "You Can't Get To Love From Here" from the 1990 album "Tent of Miracles" - it was played live before it was ever recorded, too.
@starman714 Thanks for the info, any idea what became of Scott? I keep meaning to revisit the footage I shot at that show, I might have another song that I haven't posted. Randy signed my Spirit of 76 LP at that show, I'll never let that one go.
@mitch26 - now that's one great memento and a great album to have it on! RC got very personal on that one, and every one after it. I had thought SM had joined Spirit through association with Walter Egan but your question prompted me to look him up online, they met differently. His song Line By Line from Sea Dream is great. The full version is on Son of America. A solo album and some soundtrack work it appears, are his latest endeavors.
i love spirit and knew them to chat as friends in england mitch26 i guess your from usa what i said was true they got police with riot gear many got beat up what i said was true music changed and a whole way of life spirit are brilliant but they saw the change and way of life i was joking about elton and madonna for unlike spirit they did nothing to save music being played in streets and fields anyway thanks for vidio
Boring. I loved Spirit (solo in Dark-Eyed Woman burns), and Kaptain Kopter is one of the coolest, most under-recognized great records of all time, but the only time I saw Randy, live with Ed Cassidy in Detroit, I was really disappointed - just boring - as is this. Acid burnout? And - did Sting steal this song? So similar to his hit - I`d love to see his Jaguar-riding arrogant efite intellectual snob ass get sued over this.
love that record myself. everytime i listen i pick up on a new favorite track. lately its "Things Yet To Come". there's some bonus tracks floating around from that LP that're pretty sweet. I'd be overjoyed to find Kapt Kooper on vinyl.

Looks like Scott Monahan on keys.
Thanks for posting and keeping the Spirit alive.

Yep, Randy is sorely missed by a lot of us; a great guy and a very, VERY good axeman!
