  • Where can i get those Samples?

  • That line around 6:50 was amazing. where do you get the Sylenth1?

  • omg thank youuuuu so awesome!!!

  • Im not dissing enyone here now, but basically what im getting from this video is that all you need is a basic drum loop and damn sexy sounding samples.

Throw in some sidechain, lots of delay and reverb and then some autofilter cutoff, also some white noise.

    Sounds sexy by the way

  • Hey! thanks for the tut, really helpful!

  • where can i get those synth's?

  • Dude...I was looking for tutorials on Pro Logic and when I heard your video at 6:52 it gave me chills! So dope a rope!!!!

  • I love this guy "find one that doesn't sound retarded"

  • Those who ask for chords in Logic tutorial videos - just look down at the transport bar, because the chord names are displayed as they are played. In the case of 6:52, it looks like: C5 Ma7, F, Gm, Gm7 (hard to tell at 480p).

    Great tutorial, by the way!

  • OKAY mr. deadmau5 lol....

  • Can anyone tell me any good house kicks in logic?

  • You said "nothing special" about 2394723409 times in that video.

  • Great tutorial. I currently only have logic sounds. How should i go about getting drum sounds like the ones you use in this video? They're great.

    thanks

  • Glenn Morrison?

  • wtf happened at 6.52? is that still late mouse???

  • stop saying "nothing special", yes we get it, you can do it but for those that want to learn this is AWESOME

  • nice work! But i didn't get a shit of how you did it though..

  • nice work! But i didn't get a shit of how you did it though..

  • Are those kick samples you pulled up in the browser on any old logic?

I have logic 9 at my school studio, but I can't find any good punchy kicks.

  • You really need to make a tutorial of the chours!

  • where did u get the sylenth 1 from???

  • This is brilliant, but i really need those samples! Where did you get them?

  • Where did you get those drum samples?

  • would have been nice if you had 720p so we could see what the names of every thing is cause your voice is pretty low, this is just constructive criticism i ant no troll

  • mate how do i put the record the pattern from the ultra beat into the logic piano roll??

  • hi what kind off program r u using?? and from where u taking all samples? thx

  • Comment removed

  • where did u get all those kicks n highhats samples from ?

  • where do you save samples in your mac so they show up in logics library?

  • so those drum and bass sounds came from a plug in you got? or did you make the sounds in ultrabeat and save them?

  • Adam K & Soho - Who Cares, Really?

  • Really good sound. How did you get the Sylenth chord to go from short stabs to long chords? Is it just a filter?

  • great tutorial.. is it also possible to just use EXS for the drums? (whats the disadvantage of that) + Which Drum Samples did u use in this video? Vengence?

Cheers man ;) helped alot anyway

  • @MoonflagBaby ok vengence.. but which one?

  • @MoonflagBaby: Ok vengence.. but which one ;)? I always have the problem that my Kick is either too strong, too dirty or too soft and not pushing... How can you find such a good kick sample that easy? I mean a lot of those vengence sounds are just too strong, dirty, too soft or not that pushing ;):..??

  • Thanks god you are the first to show from the start how to create a track. thanks mate great tutorial. We lack logic studio tutorials.

  • your a legend.

to all asking for chord progression it states it on the bottom right.

  • WOW!!!! GREAT VID BRO. HEY IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU CAN UPLOAD A VIDEO JUST FOR CHORDS. LIKE WHAT NOTES YOURE USING

  • please post the chords used from 6:52 ?? :))

  • where does he get his house samples?

    thanks

  • Very good video! //Greetings from Sweden

  • dope man... im just wondering have to get those soundpacks

  • Hey.. This is a really good video. Thumbs up. I just have one question about the sidechaining part. I have looked at a bunch of ways to sidechain for logic, and yours seems the most simple (even tho you did it real quick). Do you think you can say whaty ou did exactly? the steps you seemed to take looked real fast i just didnt catch it.

  • Dude you do us newbies favor, thanks loads.. but its hard to understand wtf your saying :-P Hope for better quality and moooore! Thanks

  • sounds great! hopefully i can teach myself how to make some songs someday :P

  • BORING!!!!!!!

  • hey I have a question. Whenever I try to put compression on anything i want to "duck" I cannot seem to get it to sidechain. But I do see a difference in your screen than mine. Right under Ultrabeat it's blank, it does NOT have Output 1-2 in the I/O section. Do you know how I can fix this?

Also, where do I get the VST Sylenth? Is it inside the program Logic itself or is it a VST you have to purchase or get somewhere else?

    Thanks so much!

  • @DJsextant ... google.. for sylenth..

by default ur mixer channel track is supposed to have an output for u to hear some sound.. but to sidechain u dont need to use a Bus ... rather then a send... so u mostly set it up in the Send section (right above the ultrabeat tab) u send 0db to the next free aux channel and u set the output of that channel to none. and then u select its bus in the compressor that will be set on the ducked instrument..

  • Are u using a stock patch from sylenth ? Or did u get or make it from somewhere

  • I had to put my surround system to the max to hear you bitch.

Big ups man! Great tut :D

  • isnt the song in the beginning from tiesto's in search of sunrise 6?

  • what vengeance soundpack are you using for those drum sounds?

  • hey buddy, what's this pack? can you share with us?

    nice tuto, see you!

  • i didnt know you could right click and select "every downbeat" etc on UB... nice one bro

  • do you have a tutorial on how to make the synth at 6:53 yet???? let me know!!! good shit btw!!

  • Hey. I was wondering how u made that clean beat in the background evertime. and just make it go all the time without recording. Also when im recording sumthing i played on my keyboard, it just no sound right. if u know what i mean.

  • which vsts did you use? I skipped to the end and it sounds gooood

  • @evanisgreat Sylenth1 and ES2

  • 4 Strings deadmau5 remix? =)

  • Any chance you can do a tutorial on how you got the synth sound at 6.53. Would really appreciate it. Thanks

  • At 6.53 sounds awesome! Could you do a tutorial some time about how you're putting those chords together? Are you doing it all on the fly just by ear or what?

  • Improvising on a keyboard

  • @Mrmilkcarton bad answer bro:) are you using octaves? or do just hold the notes?

  • Comment removed

  • sounds great ! Did you ever finish that track ??

  • @sacrone I kinda did, I'll post a video of it soon.

  • hey, are you using vengeance sound packs?

also, the lead sound you are using in sylenth, is that a preset? and did you open the cutoff at 6:52? that sounds beautiful man

    please let me know

  • @asjoo Yes to both, The preset was Something "mouse" I can't remember.

  • @Mrmilkcarton deadmaus? the song at the start sounds so much like deadmaus

  • Great video, I am new with logic pro 8. And this will be my first project. But can you tell me what you are doing at 3:00, I don't understand. Thanks

  • @JVDBM Really I was just adding a synth choosing a preset and sidechaining it to just see if the kick and all that jazz was okay.

  • One more question :) When you drag your kick-sample to the ultra-beat, is there any way to make it sound the same as the sample? My samples get a different sound and im not an expert on programming :P Nice work btw, impressive that you made it so quick :)

  • @batziiil Ultrabeat likes to turn it up for whatever reason. I adjust the volume accordingly. If you wanted and easier way, you could use the ESX (or w/e it's called) sampler which doesn't do anything to the volume

  • Right click (or control click) on the sound on the left of ultrabeat (where you can adjust each sound's volume and click on initialize sample in the menu tht pops up.

  • How do you change the sounds in your keyboard while you are playing ? :P

  • @batziiil Midi control on the cutoff filter.

  • That´s the way ;)

  • you make it look way to easy.
