I just siscover these amazing "twangy guitars", and really enjoy all the covers you play . . . But, just a question, obviously you're a pro ? (may be well known but hidden) Am I wrong ? ;)
What kind of effects, pedals, and amp do you use? Once I get relly good, I will also help novice guitarists learn how to play.....Because i definately know how frustrating learning to play can be...thanks..U play awesome songs....I want to learn how to play the same way...I have a hard time figuring out which effects to use some that I can play and recreate the same songs that I want to learn how to play...thank you sir...
What can you saw. The only way for most of us to garner the skill and knowledge displayed here would require us to be born again and practice like hell.
thank you for sharing your talent.. i learn the best by watching.. and you just amaze me.. all your songs are so fun to play. and you make it sound so good. im not that great.. but when i learn your from you, even my family gets impressed
Sam, sounds even better then original. So, if I can get John Fogerty over here in The Netherlands, would you come also over and play together...? Sorry, just dreaming... Keep on posting Sam, rock on!!! Peace to you all.
great great job.. came across you the other day when i was searching for chuck berry style lessons...chuck berry is my greatest guitar influence as well...you are incredible...
@aquarias2 - Thanks. Although it was The Beatles that made me (and millions of others) want a guitar, Chuck Berry is my greatest influence as well. Thanks for the kind words.
oh, those words were true...just plain fact...had my wife watch your jb goode cover yesterday...been teaching her to play for about 6 months...and i've been working on the jb goode intro for a while...almost have it now..but anyway, she watched your cover and was mesmerized..she looks at me and says.."how'd he do that"...which is what i told her she would say..awesome, just awesome..what a gift you have...
Nice job, but I would like to hear more of your guitar in the volume mix, please? John Fogerty himself can't play this as well as you do, not anymore.
@WhackyWookiee - YouTube compresses/normalizes the audio. I realized only weeks later that my guitar was too low in the mix. It serves as a learning tool; I'm O.K. with that.
@burtinator1 - Thanks. I hadn't watched it again until you posted your comment. I should have mixed my guitar louder. It was fine before the upload but YouTube normalizes the audio. It still serves its purpose as a learning tool.
It surely does! I learn alot just from watching your vids. Didn't really play rock 'n roll and stuff on my guitar before I discovered your channel. But now it's an addiction, thanks!
There aren't tabs for the chords because they are very basic and you can see what I'm doing. The tabs link for the solo are in the 'more info' section.
Thanks for the redo of this great classic. I appreciate the help and your devotion to teaching reaches down to hundreds. I play by ear and the solo really helped.
Great job! You become my prefered 'teacher' on YouTube!
maybe I'm a little bit lazy but can you explain your chord progresion between 0:30 to 0:35 (after F# chord to B chord)? It's not always easy to find the good progression just by seeing the video...
As I move along with my Quest to find who you are I find Clues? I hope you don't mind if I try? How about some odds? Say by summer? If I find out who you are by summer will you let me play a song live with you? If you want me to stop, say, and I will go away. Oh, everyone knows I quit the band and wants me to play! Thanks. You have helped me and now it drives me crazy trying to solve this mystery! Great.... Thanks again Jr
Very good!!
