  • thanks for this, the best version of wicked world... period.

  • according to WIKIPEDIA this has "medley jam that contains Into the Void, Sometimes I'm Happy, Supernaut and drum solo, then turns back into Wicked World"

    what is "Sometimes I'm happy"?

  • @MichaelHansenFUN a song that was relativley only performed live during the (I think) '71/'72 to the '75/'76 period of Sabbath it does contain all those and actually 2 drum solos. this used to be my account until Youtube got their panties in a fucking bunch

  • @MichaelHansenFUN I had posted all the parts on youtube on this channel

  • The first one. Black Sabbath is the second created.

  • tony iommi is the heaviest blues guitar player in the world

  • I love this album/cd

  • Comment removed

  • Bought this LP today.

  • its tuned the amps probally on a different seting though

  • wonderfull

  • Bill Ward is the greatest drummer of all time. Period.

  • HOLY FUUUCK this is HEAVAY!

  • This is Ironic, I just thought today what it would sound like if wicked world was slowed down more.

  • paid like 5$ for this at walmart 6 years ago when I was just getting into metal, the riff just goes down your spine. I love C# tuning.

  • one of my fav. sabbath songs... once i found out they did a sludgy version of this song with insane solos live.. this album had to be mine.

  • I forgot about this album.I had the cassette in 1980/9th grade/played it tell I wore it out.rythems sound so much heavier on this then the studio track

  • I don't know whether it is worth all

Wondering how a lie got on my mind

    Everybodies running round in circles

Run around everyday as if they're blind

  • I love them!!!!! I'm 20 and they saved my life

  • ¡¡temazo!!

  • This is heavy!!!

  • could someone tell me the lyrics for 2:35

    thanks lol

  • This is creamtastic!

  • I love those narley twitches of feedback you can hear from those awesome old marshall tube amps being pushed to the limit!

  • i fucking love ozzy, and sabbath!

  • It is edited. as the comment above say, original is 18 minutes, like a medley, returning in the end to wicked world.

  • The Toni Imoni solo was cut short?

  • @tsrwalltucky yeah i like his too

  • @tsrwalltucky who the fuck is toni imoni?

  • @sabbathomaniac People who don't know who Tony Iommi is should die.

  • @whatever890327897895 Relax, man. Take it easy. Enjoy and let people live in peace.

  • Many slag this album for being too muddy sound-wise. I think the muddiness on the other hand just adds to the atmosphere...

  • it rocks!!!!!

  • God it sounds even heavier slowed down like that. SO AWESOME!!!

  • Anyone ever hear Asbury Park 75?

This should have been officially released as a live Sabbath album.

It's the best live recording from the Ozzy era and the sound quality is great as it was professionally recorded right off the sound board by a British radio show.

I downloaded it off a torrent site.

  • @fox8950 as in asbury park new jersey ?

  • The drum fill at 5:52 is fucking great.

    Bill Ward is great.

  • @fox8950

Yeah dude, Bill Ward, John Bonham, and Keith Moon! What a time for real rock and roll.

  • That drum fill at 0:42 is wicked.

  • LOCAZO VACAN BIEN

  • sounds perfectly fine to me

  • Some Of The Best Drumming Ever

  • i love this song, but they slowed it down way too much in this version.

  • @voodoochild2121 dude slow metal is the best metal.

  • @sinkinglamb1994 If you dig slower metal, you should look into some doom metal.. Sabbath pioneered the genre with the album Master of Reality. I really dig Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus (whose singer, Robert Lowe, is now the vocalist for Candlemass). Give them a listen if you dig the slow, heavy sound.

  • Wicked World, Into The Void, Sometimes I'm Happy, Supernaut and Solos all in one song?!, thats metal!!!

  • keep your "opinions" to yourself cockmagnet

  • the world today is such a wicked place!how fuckin true is that.love it

  • Why dont they play this song live anymore!!!!

  • Ozzy isnt in the band anymore and i dont think dio likes doing ozzy's songs

  • That twit knows better than to sing original Sabbath songs. Ozzy is the one and only original, like him, hate him, or laugh at him. OZZY is irreplaceable.

  • I agree

  • heaven and hell don´t do ozzy songs

  • what did Ozzy say just after the bass line with drums?

  • I Love This Song Because You Get A Break Down Of Every Intrument!! Drums, Bass, Guitar!! Excelent ALL HAIL SABBATH

  • sabbath played in '72 at the old boston

    garden.they played for 45min.because

osbourne was so high that they stopped.

kinda fucked up.but hey that's rocknroll

    i guess....

  • FUCK....I Need to get this album...I bought it at a Swapmeet once..but the damn thing didn't work.

  • can some1 tell me where does the "someimes im happy" part come from ??

  • I was born 10 years to late...I would cut off my pinky finger to go back in time and see a Black Sabbath concert in 1972.

  • Black Sabbath owns Iron Gayden, get used to that !

  • I have this on tape, great show!

  • real Sabbath here

  • All hail the awesome destruction of the ways of, and behold the rising of metal!

Black Sabbath, the creators of metal!

  • both sabbath and maiden kick serious ass...dont put either of them down

  • this riff is so easy, but it sound so epic

  • Maiden is awesome but Black Sabbath is miles ahead of literally any other modern metal bands its not even funny..

  • I'd agree with this as sabbath did it all, and most modern bands only focus on one or two aspects of what they did.

  • BLACK SABBATH PWNS IRON GAYMEN

  • no one on earth can fucking beat this band.....

  • I love how some of the songs on this album are so heavy compared to the regular versions of the songs. Like wicked world and cornucopia on this album are so good, better than the original versions in my opinion.

  • i love black sabbath!! its my prefered band i love!!

  • nice intro

  • what yr did this come out. i remember having the tape in 9th grade(1981) obviously older then that. just wondered where and when these songs were performed

  • man that bass line at around 2:30 fuckin sweet

  • god tony iommi cant shred that was a great solo

  • You mean "can shred"?!?!?!

  • cool but jacked the beat from the doors wild child

  • nice that you recognized that...i totally can hear it too

  • homeslice is obviuolsy a fuckin idiot goddamn this solo makes the hair on my arms stand up!!!!!

  • great song

  • They performed this song in sow low tuning.... heavy sludgy..... ROCKNROLL

  • @teilaans Well its interesting because in the studio its in standard tuning, only because they sped up the track this is what it would have sounded like before the speed up which made the guitar in standard tuning.

  • @hendrix950 Actually, the whole first album was in standard tuning. They didn't play it in C# and speed it up, they played it in standard at a faster speed. They started tuning down in '71. So any concerts from after that time they just played everything in C#, even stuff that was originally standard.

  • @zeppelin1996 No your mistaken im talking about Down tuning only a half step which iommi did do on every song off their first album besides the final cut of wicked world obliviously because it was sped up. This live version is in C# however i was just saying that in the studio they sped it up, i should have clarified that it was not in C# which your right they didn't start doing till MOR.

  • @hendrix950 I play along to their first album all the time, I've never had to tune down a half step though.

  • @zeppelin1996 Maybe you just cant tell its not a major difference like C# but it is a difference like guitars can easily fall into half step lower just by playing them for extended periods, depending on what kind of guitar.

  • @hendrix950 I can definitely tell when something is tuned a half step down. My guitars stay in tune very nicely and I always make sure I'm in tune. You can believe it's a half step down if you want, but I know it's in standard.

  • @zeppelin1996 Ok believe that your right but one day you'll figure out that you are wrong im absolutely 100 percent sure so I dont even know what to say.

  • @zeppelin1996 This is tuned in C#. Sabbaths first two albums and last two (with Ozzy) were in standard tuning. Master Of Reality - Sabotage were played in C#. This version of Wicked World was played during a tour when they had there guitars tuned in C#. Its basically common Sabbath knowledge.

  • @DoomMetalSludge Yes I know that. If you read my first comment you'll see that I knew. I was arguing with hendrix950 about whether or not this song was originally in standard, which it was. I realize that they're playing it in C# here. Everything was played in C# from 71-75.

  • @zeppelin1996 Alright my mistake

  • your all a bunch of pussies- I actually performed an excorsizm with a cat to which led to my soul being extrapolated into teh external world. i even have evidence of fallen spirits to which posessed me-from the woods and everything

  • nothing better than pure blues with a metal tone

  • exactly - sabbath were a blues band - earth - to start with - and things just got gradually heavier. i stlll think of sabbath as having the most original sound of all - ozzys vocals are unique and iommis guitar playing has never been touched - no one can capture his technique properly

  • i would kill to see this

  • i would brutally murder 800000 kittens just to watch them preform in this time.

one trillion kittens to meet tony iommi

  • Comment removed

  • so you are a kitten lover?

  • The Beatnut sampled this for their song: Reign of the Tec. check out their video

  • I love this!!! Sabbath live is the coolest.

  • ozzy himself said he doesn't understand the term metal, he usually refers to their music as rock'n roll or hard rock, i don't think sabbath needs to call them metal, to be appreciated..

  • but in real truth, this version proves that ''black sabbath'' was always a heavy-metal band with ozzy. real heavy music!

  • this is even doomier than the studio version. Fuckin Great. The 18 minutes-version is a bonus track on my Paranoid re-release. Whats about the tracks "Deathmask" and "Sometimes I am happy"? There doesnt exist any studio versions of those?

  • You got the Paranoid re-release?! The quad remix?! I thought that was pushed back till February?!

  • Nono it wasnt actually a real re-release, I know there will be a big 3CD-Rerelease in February but I have a normal Paranoid CD with a bonus track and that is exactly this Version of Wicked World. I dont really know the backgrounds of this CD but i know it wasnt the first release edition.

  • Do you have the song of 18 minutes? Because it would be genius:)

  • I believe the story behind this album was that the Sabs got wind that Ozzy was going to release a live album featuring Black Sabbath tunes ("Speak of the Devil"), so the record company put out "Live at Last".

"Live at Last" is underrated. Some people can't get past the mudiness of the recording, and I saw many copies of this album in the "used"/discount bins. Most people need to be spoon fed clean recordings.

I say fuck it! This album is punishing, like "Live at Leeds" is muddy/punishing.

  • sabbath released a live version from the california jam from 1974 and its better than this ''live at last'' version because this was a release saying sabbath was on ''drugs'' with ozzy and that manager was fired and sued. it was reissued in a better way. ozzy osbourne said that no band can match ''black sabbath's'' potential in live performances.

  • 112211 is a fuck head

  • Oh yeah, it first came out in the states as an import, making it worth the wait regardless of what fuckheads like na112211 said in his earlier comment. Yeah we knew then that it wasn't as good as the studio recordings but we could appreciate a good live jam back then, mistakes and all! something awful happened after the early eighties......glam rock resurgence perhaps, I remember the Disco Sucks era, had my own disco sucks T-shirt, wish I had saved it for posterity.

  • His comment barely deserves a response. I saw Sabbath a couple of times in the 70s. To say that Sabbath is rubbish live, means he has no understanding of the band whatsoever. This band brought so much raw power and energy onto the stage. They could play "Three Blind Mice" and it would be a dark, jagged, thunderous, sweaty, ominous, thing of beauty. I've said it before Black Sabbath is a dish, best served live and bloody.

  • Yeah kids I remember when this came out on vinyl and yours truly, had to sell some dime bags of sinsemilla after saving his lunch money for weeks to buy this album. The next 4 summers were epic to say the least. There were at least 4 or 5 good concerts to go to each season, music biz was thriving. Seeing "The Wall" live was my initiation into the concert scene. Shit I been up all night, time for bed, cyahs!!

  • sabbath's "LIVE AT LAST" + waterbong=heavy as fuck!!!

  • A true testament to Bill Ward's great talent.

    Tony's Geezer's and Ozzy's as well.

  • This quickly is becoming one of my favorites on YouTube.

  • why didnt you put the 20 minute version on that is the best

  • this is there #1 greatest song.

if think about, alot of they're greatest songs are on their first album

  • I love this in C# tuning! Its so heavy!

  • what a loser sabbath rocks

  • IMMA F@#KING KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

  • strait fuck you

  • Sabbath awful???? man, you don't know anything

  • na112211 (3 months ago) Show Hide -6 Marked as spam Reply | Spam Absolutely awful they have always been rubbish live. Sorry sabbath but you were no where near as good as you should be.

if you read this properly i wasnt saying i hate sabbath i was saying they are shit live

on cd they are one of my favourite bands

  • eat shit fuckhead sabbath is great live

  • damn! tony solo is amazing!

  • want this released on past lives?
