  • cool

  • the two boys fighting at 9:35 took the elevated train

  • Madrid yeah xD

  • What do you mean in America? -> continent?

  • @garoukike they mean The United States of America. It's a country.

For latin americans it should be a whole continent

  • Too much background noise!

  • This documentary is quite outdated:

    1. The 9 Train is still in service. (Defunct in 2005)

    2. R33 Redbirds are still in service. (Before they all retired in 2003.)

    3. The East Side Access, at that time when it was proposed, is now under construction.

    4. Fare price in 2003 was $1.50 per ride. But since June 29, 2009, a fare per person is $2.25 per ride.

    4. Yet more to come...LOL!!!U name it!!

  • This when this new subway super system is coplete I hope I am one of the first to try it out.

  • aweswom video but i think the new subway has very little character compared to the old one whitch defines nyc

  • Awesome video.

  • nyc is not a big city, 8 million people is not a lot. There is def. many other cities that is even more crowded

  • 4:14 - 4:27 lol it says that NYC has Trains from A to W and 1 to 9 when actually there is a Z Train and there are no H,I,K,O,P,T,U,X,Y,8, and 9. And i don't see any sign of them building either... >.> guess they didn't do they research, lol.

Trust me I live in NYC :P

  • i'v never been to NYC so i don't know much about the subway but i saw 9 on the map at 4:34

  • This documentary was made in 2003, before the 9 was discontinued. I suppose they assumed that the Z was just a complementary line to the J, and not worth a separate mention. They did say there are 26 lines, so of course, you couldn't have all 26 lettered and 9 numbered lines.

There will never be an I or O train due to confusion with 1 and 0. The Rockaway Park shuttle is still internally (at the MTA) known as the H, while the 42nd St shuttle is known as the 0.

  • The T will run on the Second Avenue Subway, when it is finally completed.

@Cornish Cal: The 9 was discontinued in 2005.

  • Well i agree to everything but this; the 42nd St shuttle is NOT known as the 0, it is the S. If you go to Times Square it says S in a Grey circle to Grand Central.

Oh and actually they didn't say "26 lines" they said "NYC has Trains from A to W and 1 to 9"

Since the documentary is old it has old info... which is wrong now. Although i hate the fact they never made this...come on, its been 6 years!

  • @FallenDeathAssassin

At 4:07 they did say that there were 26 lines.

  • @FallenDeathAssassin um actually i tink dat h and k did exist at one point

  • @FallenDeathAssassin At the time... however, now that 2 years have passed...

W train is no longer, and no more Z-train as of now. And they are making a new T-train line running from E 110 St all the way down to the Wall Street area.

There used to be a 9 train along the West side in Manhattan as well as a K-train doing a Queens to Manhattan run long ago.

  • whoa! 0:56 thats a R110B!

  • yee they sure are i am a big fan of these kind of documentaries

    plz keep posting

  • great documentaries :)
