You ladies have talent and I enjoy your videos. The thing I lke best about this one is you seem to have fun with it. It's not only about singing. It's about what's inside you. When it comes more from the heart and soul and less from the brain then you'e got something.
For all of you Four Quarters fans you might want to check out the Page Cavanaugh Trio version of this classic. Someone posted a great vintage clip of them doing this fun little tune right here on you tube. I hope this little ditty makes it onto a future Four Quarters C.D.!!
Always a treat to hear the Four Quarters. By the way, this rendition of "Goldilocks" was made popular by The Page Cavanaugh Trio, a lounge act in the 1950s. My father played guitar with Page during that time. It never ceases to amaze me how these young girls are covering some of the classics from a bygone era. Us older folks appreciate that! Keep up the great quality of work, girls!
The Four Quarters CD has been released by Crystal Ball records. The title is "A Pocket Full of Change." This song isn't on it--no matter how well they sang it in the studio, it wouldn't be the same without facial expressions and eye movements! However, most of the fan favorites are on it, and benefit from being recorded in a studio.
At first I thought this was silly, but the more I hear of it, the more fun it is! I know kids will love it. Watch the eyes of the girl on the left. She is totally into the song, singing with her voice and acting with her eyes. I like the group's use of motion too.
You are great! I'll have to record my children and me singing it the way I learned it growning up (a bit jazzier...). Anyway - Loved this. You really made us smile and the kids LOVE it. It's good to have good music for kids! Thank you.
That was fun! My three kids, ages 8 to 11, really enjoyed it. One can't get "Hey bob a re bob" (or whatever it was that you sang) out of her head. Keep it up - you four are great!
My school used to do this all the time. It was our signature piece.

@goplad1 I first heard this back in '79 when my university teacher performed it for us. I always remembered it. Kevin.

Excellent! Here's some good stage acting! This is what I miss in for example the "Live! The Best of Doo-Wop"-video. Keep up the good work

The other students at your respective colleges may or may not think what you do is cool, but some professors will increase grades for a song request.
