  • why arent the faggot animal rights ppl bitching all over this page

  • @TheJeromemm because they are westernized hippies

  • @jelloleggedjedi lol +1. i couldnt agree with you more

  • @TheJeromemm The animal rights people aren't posting on this video because these native people live in an area where the killing of whales is absolutely necessary for their survival.

People protest the needless killing of whales by the Japanese who don't need them to survive.

  • Oh my dear native man, the whales can certainly live without you.

     0:30

  • @zOMGLaserGunzPewPew be quiet

  • God gave us animals so that we can benefit from them. This is such an amazing example of that relationship!

  • Fack you!

  • They look 100% Asian, because they are. Have we all forgotten that 'native', is a relative term. These folks, as well as all Amerindian's ( I know, there's some Polynesian blood in the south), from the top of Canada, to the tip of Chile - immigrated here via a land bridge. Mostly Mongolian blooded.

  • They look 100% Asian

  • @tuyenmai2001 we're inupiaqs (eskimos)

  • WTF... this people need to kill whales because its almost the only food they got!! this peole kill the whales to life not to make money of them.. get that in your head..!!!

  • Once again, the link to the petition (for all to see): w w w. theanimalrescuesite. com/clickToGive/campaign.faces?siteId=3&campaign=FaroeIslandWhaleSlaughter&ThirdPartyClicks=ETA_090811_FaroeIslandWhaleSlaughter_F We're sending it all over the internet in every way. • Inuits need to kill Whales, faroese don't.

The faroese kill Whales for sport, then eat some small portions of the corpses, and dump the rest in mass "graves" to rot in waste. The Inuits however eat ALL of the Whale and it represents more than 60% of their entire food intake. i wish the whole world could hold a public vote to see how many are against whaling or in favour.

Secondly, whaling should only be allowed to those who "need" it for survival...

meaning, not on an industrial level

  • The decent people of the world are standing against whaling, and their numbers are growing. The Sea Shepherds are doing as THOSE people wish!

Sign the petition against the Faroe Island slaughter.

Even at the very least, it will prove how many people want this killing to end, and show that the Faroe people are spitefully against world majority

  • Last statement is a complete lie, there are 15,000 to high 25,000 just in the eastern arctic. Stop lying to mask Cultural Prejudice.

  • @inuit222 Wikipedia is not known for being accurate by any means, The numbers come from the American Cetacean Society, NOAA, and Marine Bio, who have just upped their numbers to be between 8,000 and 12,000 whales world wide.

However, dont get your knickers in a bunch, I actually have no issues with you taking a few whales. I just get tired of the Whale wars fan boys trying to tell other nations that they cant hunt whales for food, when their own country allows whaling.

  • @inuit222 As for Wikipedia, if you check, you'd see that ALL info has to be backed up with genuine sources. All links are listed at the bottom of each Wikipedia page. Read Wikipedia policy: All info submitted is verified with references posted. So don't believe them when they say "Wikipedia can't be trusted". They're only half right. (The sources can be)

  • It's the fucking 21st century here. If stupid SSCS supporters can go around bitching about the Faroese and the Japanese, then this whaling should stop as well.

There are only 7500 Bowheads in the world. The Inuits take 75 a year, including pregnant females, That is a 1 percent attrition which is worse then the Faroese hunting which only affects 0.1% of the Pilot Whale population.

    PIlot Whales are not endangered!

    Bowhead Whales ARE endangered.

  • @hitmann2300 Our people live in balance with the whales. We take less than 1% annually. We cannot afford to eat store food and we continue in balance. Your value system should not dictate our diet or culture. This whaling will never stop, You have no idea - really - no idea how we live. Come up for just one year and see if you have the same views...

  • @NorthernMostTours Actually I know this and support you. However there are some American nutjobs, like info145 who are trying to stop Faroese whale hunting, which is done for exactly the same reasons you guys do it. Yet these whale wars idiots feel they are justified in telling other nations to stop whaling when their own nation allows it.

    I have been to Barrow

I have no problem with the Japanese either, so long as the species is not being hunted to extinction, I see no issues with whaling.

  • @hitmann2300 if the species is not going extinct, i agree. We managed for millenia with them in balance - until New England whaling vessels commercially exploited the species... its been a slow steady comeback for them though.

  • @NorthernMostTours Pilot whales are in no danger of going extinct, and the Faroes hunts only take about 0.1% of their population yearly. With a mean average of about 700 whales, these whales are actually more part of the Dolphin family, being the second largest to Killer Whales.

  • @NorthernMostTours Goofball hitmann2300 just doesn't do his homework. Inuits are NOT "Americans".

  • @info145 @hitmann2300

So based on your comment, you agree with the Faroese pilot whale hunts! The Faroese use ALL of the pilot whale meat and the need it as they can not afford to live entirely on store bought food, just as the Inuits.

THE FAROESE AND INUITS CONTINUE WHALING FOR THE SAME REASONS, PRESERVATION OF CULTURE AND TO SUBSIDIZE THE COST OF STORE BOUGHT FOOD!

  • It's okay to hunt a few whales a year, specially since this people have no other resources. But I don't like how the Japanese use "research" scam to hunt hundreds of whales a year.

  • I wouldn't kill a whale, but I don't really blame these native people for it. What else are they going to eat?

  • PEOPLE come first, and if they absolutely need to kill whales to eat for survival... then so be it. (Example: Check the laws. Only eskimo are allowed to eat Narwhal, which are a non-endangered cetacean).

Faroese do their killing as a game they call the Grindadrap!!! And if they really were doing it to sell as food, THAT IS ILLEGAL

  • @info145 so your some kind of eco warrior wannabe eh?..people DONT come first!! thats for starters cause if every single human disappeared right this second a thousand years from now the earth would not not only have flourished because of it but wouldnt even notice our disappearance so get off the self rightious jag!..people are shit and serve no purpose except when we shit on the ground and fertilize it or when we die and feed the worms who are ALSO more useful than us!

  • @tasteegold7772

Humans are apes. Apes are the most intelligent lifeform in the history of the Earth.

Do you know what the SECOND most intelligent is? They deserve some justice and protection too.

Besides, we have to save the oceans to save ourselves. If the oceans die, we die

  • @info145 what on earth are you talking about?..im completely and totally against hunting and animal exploitation in ANY form..i think i made it pretty clear in my last comment to your response when you wrote quote"PEOPLE come first and if they absolutely need to kill whales to eat for survival then so be it" im trying to pinpoint what angle your coming from. we all know the inbred faroese kill for the fun and sport of it while the inupiaqs only take what they need but ALL OF IT is outdated!

  • @tasteegold7772

So am i, but people will not ever stop eating animals, so there are guidelines that should be followed:

    1) Don't kill animals whose subsistence is in question.

    2) Kill quickly and humanely.

    3) Replenish.

    4) Respect an animal's sanctuary!

(The poachers ignore all of these basic common sense points of logic and human decency)

  • @tasteegold7772 hippy

  • @thatguylander PFFFT..nice vids you favorite..GAY BASTARD HAHAHA!

  • These people are connected to their food, and clearly have respect for the animals they hunt. The sea is clearly their garden as the climate is too cold to grow vegetables.

  • this video makes me wanna live there away from all the fucking bullshit

  • more whale huntin here /watch?v=iGMpBkzL0fE

  • It is great to see how the whale is so appreciated by the entire community and how the hunt team puts on a get together!. I can only imagine a hard working way of life, but a great way of life no less. May the Lord smile on yalls hunts to come. Be safe, Jason
