  • could you do a demo of cutting a curved surface with this tool pse

  • If you get a shining surface after cutting that usually means that the bevel was rubbing on the surface and burnishing instead of just cutting.

  • @atomak or it was reminiscent of a planing cut, which it was

  • deberia venir traducido en español o con subtitulo

  • You mentioned using twin bevel on your gouge, please could you explain further exactly how you managed to make the profile on the gouge?

  • Great video, Stu. What angles do you use on the gouge? Just curious. Something like 3-5deg. difference between them sound right?

  • Nice demo and explanation of the method. I have to say this is how I started turning, as I took my first beginer course with Eli, and know no better :-)

  • Wow, you took classes with Eli?

Lucky you, we got two days of Demo from him, and it was REALLY great. I'm just trying to explain what I saw, I'm sure if Eli saw this video, he would tell me all the things I'm not doing correctly!!

If you see him, say "Hi" from Stu in Tokyo.

    Cheers!
