Give it time, likely sooner rather than later, and SLi and CrossFire will wind up being as obsolete as AGP.

And, all it takes is someone to make the implementation of multiple GPU cores on one card in such a way that it does the same thing as linking multiple cards through a proprietary interface while being more economical, use less physical space in the machine, use less system resources and use less energy to run.

Mind you, this can happen on any system.

why are we??, we like Apple, would you call people ridiculous if they liked a certain brand of car more than another?, Its peoples own choice. I'd say at least half of Mac users are Die-Hard fans. It cant be helped, just they way it is. I own seven Macs and I will be getting my 8th soon a new MacBook Pro

@macnerd93 Performance metrics are not a matter of taste. PC's are simply vastly superior to Mac's, that's not my opinion but a hard fact.

Anyone who claims to assert a hard fact is really stating a strong opinion.

Performance metrics are but one measure of a system's usability. Having a lot of processing power does you no good if you can't or don't put it to good use. The software you are running and even if the user really makes use of the available performance are considerations.

Metrics = numbers on paper that don't consider real world use according to different people with different tastes and preferences.

Ultimately, a real measure of a computer's usefulness is its ability to serve its user.

The truth is that, despite differences and in defiance to claims of superiority, if a computer does what one user needs it to do, then everything else about it doesn't matter, including what OS you're using.

I'm neither a Mac or a PC. I'm a user 'cause I prefer to use my tools rather than act like one.
