  • I had a bad experience with Organic Roots....not any conditioner but rather the hair serum. Left my hair with dry patches all over like dandruff.....scared the life out of me...so im a little scared to try any other of their products.......but ur video helped me alot with my questions on protein and how to use. I tried the egg and it left my hair extremely hard....and its only now i know y....so i know i have to try something lighter with some drops of oil (crosses fingers)....but again thanks.

  • I'm 8weeks post relaxer, I experience a lot of breakage in the past 2weeks or so. I follow different procedures but still doesn't work. Mind you, my hair texture is really really thin. Once I do the roller set thing, the all hair came out with the roller. But my hair keeps getting longer though. What do you think I should do? Thank you

  • This may be off topic, but what eyelashes do you use in this video? They are so pretty!

  • your makeup is gorgeous..u look really pretty like a doll.

  • I use these products, but I don't have ethnic hair...do u know if its bad if I use it either way?

My hair is thick and coarse...

I mean I love the outcome, but I'm not sure.

  • this is completely off topic BUT.. what type of foundation/brand do you use? cuase i don't like the one i'm using and yours looks reallyy good.

  • what relaxer do you use?

  • Where are you from?

  • Girl! I've been looking for a video like yours! Thank God! You use the same products as me too :P

  • Love Love Love the Organic root stimulator "replenishing" conditioner.. it leaves my hair silky soft and im natural

  • Your voice is so cute!

  • omg i relax my hair a few weeks ago n it started scraching me......girl all my hair to fell out in the middle i had to cut it all off ...now am looking like a man in dress

  • Do you notice or know of the difference between the professional version of the replenishing conditioner and the regular replenishing conditioner?

  • I love this video and thank you so much on this review. I just purchased them mayo protein and its marinating in my hair as I type (heheehe). Also, I agree in regards to the replenishing deep conditioner. It is the absolute best! Thanks again and continue to treat your hair with love. Meekness

  • are there any light proteins that i can create at home? i know of the egg protein treatment but I believe that is just a treatment not a light treatment... am i right I'm trying to start my journey but i have many confusions and questions.... awesome videos =)

  • I never though that product was protein base. I always use eggs, but now I'll try this product because I'm tired of making hair products.

  • "And I do add oils to enhance my conditioning experience" haha, love it!

    i love my oils too

  • after using the deep conditioner should i shampoo it and the use a regular conditioner? or would that be too much conditioning

  • how do you know if you protein sensitive?

  • OH WOW I USE THESE BUT I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE SOO GOODD...GO ME XX

  • How do you know if your protein sensitive?

  • awwww ur adorable lolz

  • I do not know the difference between breakage or shedding. All I know is hair comes out and I get scared. please explain the difference.

  • @sabrinatai31 I always think about it this way. Shedding is when you can see the roots of the hair strands that are coming out. Breaking is when you can't see the roots, meaning like maybe half a strand broke off.

  • can you eat it lol

  • can you add extra virgin olive oil to the hair mayo when deep conditioning your hair?

  • Sister, that is not a light protein treatment. It is mild to heavy.

  • I kno the hair mayo is geat been using is for 10 yrs now

  • How often do you relax?

  • you are just so adorable! i use the olive oil replenishing conditioner but i didn;t know it had protein

  • what type of oils do you mix in with your hair mayo

  • your make up looks so nice

  • How do you know if you are protein sensitive?

  • What oils do you use for ORS replenishing conditioner?

  • i've been using both of these and they work great on my hair. i just started my hair journey today and i was watching some of your videos. your hair is long. i love it! :)

  • I tried this conditioner and added Grapeseed oil and my hair was thanking me. My hair was soft, moisturised, silky and strong.

  • thank you !

  • your make up is awesome!

  • You should try the black tea rinse for you shedding. They have videos on here for it.

  • How can you know what products are light protein and a heavy protein?

  • Hey Meg what is the lipgloss you are wearing?

  • I love your skin. What are you using on your skin?

  • Hi Megz, love your vids. Do you use the Replenishing conditioner after your moisturising shampoo or after your co-wash?

  • I hate when the highest rated comment is responding to what somebody else said..

I CAN'T EVER FIND THE COMMENT.

  • @whatchulookingatshaw here's a tip press and hold on to ctrl + F

and type in the name of the person or key words of person that was answered... hope that helps. I know this comment is old.

  • i have been using Olive Oil organics for a while now and it does make my hair really soft. But i never got the shine that i wanted. I will try adding the oils now and see what happens. Starting my hair journey now =D wish me luck.

  • I swear by those products.. I've actually used them since I was 9 and I haven't found anything that can top them. My hair isn't the same type as yours and it it still works amazingly so I completely agree. A lot of my friends use them too so I can can basically assure you that it does work on natural and relaxed.. and I have been both

  • I know you probably dont remember but do you know what lashes u are wearin here?

  • @jasminekh121 it think they were red cherry #74

  • YOOOOO, I love dis stuff! And my hair is definitely natural. Just goes to show that products aren't mutually exclusive to certain hair types. :)

  • I love ORS Replenishing Conditioner! I bought it a couple weeks ago and I've only used it twice snd it works amazing...it leaves my hair sooo soft!

  • HELLO MY NAME IS NIKI AND I JUST STARTED MY HAIR JOURNEY :) MY QUESTION IS HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM IN FACT SENSITIVE TO PROTEIN?????

  • @Kloeykisses if you hair feels really dry and brittle after use

  • i absolutely love the replenishing conditioner that smells like oranges. i used to suffer quite bad from seborhaic dermatitis (however it's spelled) and would use selsun blue which made my hair soo hard and dry but this conditioner ixed with pantene pro v for relaxed and natural hair was amazing. still using it and love it

  • and you also use that replenishing conditioner after the shampooing rt...?

  • @Plaisir09 yes

  • omg, u r so cute

  • i want to start trying to grow my hair but until it reaches the length i want is it okay to put clip in extensions in like once or twice a week ?

  • i want to start trying to grow my hair but until it reaches the length i want is it okay to put clip in extensions in like once or twice a week?

  • you use aphogee like treatment proteins and after you use again hair mayonnaise for one month?

  • hi you dont care the hair mayonnaise contains some silicones, paraben and mineral oil ?sorry for my bad english

  • also when you do the lite protein do you not do DC for like moisture

  • do you use shampoo first then this or do you just wet your hair with water before doing the hair mayo

  • Comment removed

  • if you dont have a heat dryer, what else could i do to dry my relaxed hair without using heat and it still looking nice ?

  • What oils do you use

  • to get 5% off your first purchase at myprotein use the following promotional code when registering: MP382331

  • Hey Megz, I so love ORS Hair Mayo, I use it with heat for about 30 minutes as a DC and it makes my hair so soft and easy to detangle. I have only used the replenishing condish after my relaxer. I am still trying to find my balance between protein and moisture.

  • Your makeup is really nice. Did you learn to do it on your own?

  • Hey Megan, wen you co wash after Protein Treatment, do you deep condition first it or just go straight to co wash ??

  • lol i use the olive oil conditioner as my moisturize deep conditioning, and i add a little EVOO. every weekend saturdays lol. That's about all i can use for my hair as of deep conditioning wise. everything and i mean everything else makes my hair feel like a rough bush that's on somebody front lawn! lol

  • I love love love Olive Oil products..... that conditioner was heaven on earth for me. My hair would still be dry using products like Motions (run away from that) and others... But yeah it took a min but I love it. I wear sew ins so when I take them out I would definitely use the conditioner but I also use the egg protein treatment every month...

  • this might seem like a tedious question but how do you know when a product is considered "protein/moisture based" when it isn't labeled as such or does not have any proteins listed in the ingredient list???..

  • Hey Megz - I wanted to tell you that I tried the Hair Mayonaise, my hair came out beautiful. I really love the results. My hair did not come out hard, like after using other protein conditioners. Thanks very much for the suggestion.

  • I love ORS replenishing condish (has great slip for my hair) and mix it with oils and other condish for deep treatments

  • I love your hair videos!

  • Love the makeup

  • Where did you get your headband? it is sooo cute..!

  • You once siad in your regimen that you co-wash once a week as well, may I ask what product do you use for your weekly co-washes?

  • what is protein sensitive?

  • Hey Megz, luv the video as usual. I have tried only the Organic Root Stimulator Conditioner. I too noticed that I have to be careful with how much of this product that I use because it can make my hair have a heaviness to it. I was using the individual packets, but I should have used only half the packet instead of a whole packet. I have never tried to Hair Mayonaise, but I will give it a try.

  • gorgeous eye makeup

  • Hey Megz! Just thought i'd add that i'm natural and I too looove the organics root stimulator conditioner. I use it once a week mixed with coconut oil. It makes my hair really soft and manageable. I used to use it once a month, but once a week seems to help a lot more with the moisture.

Although i'm natural I love your channel and i've learned sooo much from you. Thank you for investing your time into us on youtube! :)

  • o and im about 3 months post relaxer if that helps not o n purpose ive been busy.lol

  • Thanks Megz for this vid! I'm a TOTAL "PJ"...YES, product junkie trying to get into a recovery program...anyways, I had forgotten about my ORS Replenishing Conditioner and used it for my deep condition this week and WOW! Just what my hair needed! I get nervous about protein but maybe I'm not as sensitive as I thought...or maybe I need to learn how to use it CORRECTLY...anyways, THANKS AGAIN! You are so cute!

  • okay i have a very important question! so i have a part of my hair that has breakage and im about to get my relaxer 2ma so should i use any protein in my hair or should i just pust a moisturizer in it. if so how long should i wait until i use protein again?

  • what leave in conditioner do u use i have yet to find one and i need one

  • love ur makeup and very informative video(:

  • Great video Megan. Thanks for sharing.

  • Oh my Gosh little sister! You are amazing.. today is my first time watching your videos and Lord knows I have so much I should be doing but you are so easy to watch and easy to listen to.. Mega descriptive! (did youtube do that to you?)some tutorials are so boring and just blah blah.. I hate when they repeat stuff over and over but you seem to be a n exception. My hair is natural and this is an amazing product it keeps the locs (long shafts of hair) soft and healthy.

  • I thought egg takes the relaxer out or is that a myth?

  • @NIJEECAPRICORN20 its a myth

  • @NIJEECAPRICORN20 it's not the egg it's the protein

  • @Emelbelle2 oh so its the protien that takes it out?

  • @Emelbelle2 well now Im a get me a protien treatment lol

  • love the eye lashes! Thank you so much for the lovely advice/information

  • I have a couple of questions (i watch your channel like everyday)

Is it ok to use any castor oil?

Is it ok to us e a cleansing shampoo as your regular shampoo?

Can i use extra virgin olive oil and seal with oil moisturizing hair lotion every day?

Is carrot oil, extra virgin olive oil, castor oil and tea tree oil ok to add to conditioner? If so how much? I use to ORS replenishing pak

And how much of the ingredients listed above do i put in my monthly protein treatment? (the ORS hair mayyonaise)

  • @950bballgirl Yes its okay to do all of those things. Is your shampoo a moisturizing shampoo?

  • @ulovemegz Yes'mam

...you never said how much of the ingredients above to put in my monthly ORS protein treatment...

  • i love your videos there so use full and explanitory keep making them and i love your hair you are my hero

  • thank you your vids are honest and very usefull, I follow the same regimen and it works on me and my girls

  • Hi Megan, do you ever use heat when deep conditioning your hair i.e. sit under a dryer or heat cap?

  • @SpecialKally yes

  • Because you use a no-lye relaxer, what do you use to keep your hair from having those calcium build-ups on your follicles??

  • @JennandJuice26 In her regimen video she said she uses ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo....it's a chelating shampoo which gets rid of the calcium buildup as well as minerals from hard water. It also serves as a neutralizer and clarifier!

  • how would i out or how can i find out if im protein sensitive or not?

  • What all oils do you use? do you mind giving me a list, what you use them in and were to get them?

You said you use your light protein once a week, but how?

What exactly is co-washing? And were does moisturizing and sealing come into when using "light protein"

I admire your channel and I've decided to go on my own hair journey, just asking for a little help (:

  • After using a protein treatment for the first time I have breakage :(. I was just wondering what are your suggestions in what I should do now ..... should i stop using it, try something else? >.<

  • @princesschanny40 Probably your protein sensitive. What you could try to do is keep the protein treatment in your hair for a smaller amount of time. Experiment and see what works well for you

  • What kind of oils do you put in the Hair Mayonnaise? I have also used Hair Mayonnaise for a while and it really did wonders on my hair. It leaves my hair more manageable& gives it a lot of shine!.. Btw I lovee your Channel keep uploading girlie;)

  • i am very happy that you are still making hair videos. you have inspired me to start my own hair journey, and i've been doing good so far. i hope that you continue making these hair videos to help other ladies out there =)

  • do you think having eczema in your scalp would make you protein sensitive ? because my beautician [an old one] did one on my head and i cant remember the results, idk if they were good or bad...

  • Comment removed

  • @IMbeautifullove bc i use the replenishing conditioner

  • Comment removed

  • I used Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap to shampoo my hair, with amazing results, then conditioned with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, mixed with essential oils. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge on relaxed hair.

  • @JenniiferH A co-wash is washing your hair with conditioner only. You do not use shampoo at all when co-washing.

  • @carycouture okay, thank you :).

  • I've been wondering in a whiile now, what is a co-wash? :)

  • @JenniiferH Its basically just washing your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo, it allows your hair to be clean without stripping it and it allows it to retain the added moisture. I hope this helps. :)

  • @NinaRae614 oooh, yes it helped :) thank you very much.

  • i use the same products it works for me also.my mom been using the same products on my hair since i been little...also if a person wants to get their hair growing they should mix castor oil with b&b grease....that really works also

  • Love the jade ring your wearing.... where did you get it?

  • @ariel99able I got it from palmbeach jewerely

  • I use the replenishing deep condish and I jus luv it. I use it every week.

  • how do yu know if your protein sensitive???

  • @itsCamiahoe if you hair feels dry, hard, and it breaks after protein

  • i use the ors deep condish as a deep condish and aphogee for protein treatment :))

  • why did your hair look kind of curly in this vid?

  • @ebeeezy21 because i recorded this 2weeks ago and I had a twist out

  • how can you tell if your protien sensitive?

  • @200pyt protein sensitivity is basically when someone's hair gets too dry and too brittle from using products with protein in it even after following up with a moisture treatment.

  • When you use the ors replenish conditioner do you follow up with a moisturizing conditioner since its light protein?

  • @latonnia51 no I normally just do a moisturizing leave in

  • thank you for your vids. megan :)

  • I used that hair mayo, since 2002. I use to use it as a hair moisturizer, lol, I didnt know it was a dc lol

  • did your sister move to CA with you?

  • Megz you are the perfect African American hair/make up guru in my opinion. I'm really hoping you start posting more tutorials because you have so much potential as a youtube guru and to incorporate your skills into a career. I hope to be as influential and have as big as a following as you someday, hopefully soon. :)

  • what oils do you add?

  • @pistachioonut it all kind of depends on what my hair needs at the time but what I always add is peppermint oil, olive and grapeseed

  • ORS products are my staples!! I will try other products, but I always revert back to the best!!

  • I love the hair mayo but when I use it, I can't add any leave ins or anything else to my hair otherwise my hair gets sticky from too many products. It soaks into my hair alot, so I guess thats why

  • I used the Uplifting shampoo on friday mixed in with a Nioxin shampoo and Gagel's lemon fluff shampoo. Very very nice shampoo. I usually use the ORS Aloe Shampoo, but I liked the uplifting as well.

  • should you do the protein treatment the wash after a relaxer?

    when do you do it?

  • @annj11princess yea some people do it in the same day but I either do it a week before or the week after

  • i use these same things omg... and they work so good... i love them

  • im not a huge fan of the ors replenishing conditioner. it doesn't rinse clean and seems to leave a heavy residue on my hair. its ok when im wearing protective styles but i cant use it when i wear my hair down.

  • @lfutrell82 yea I noticed it can have that affect when i wear my hair down I have to use very little and it works pretty good when I use less

  • sice i started watchin u and started my hair journey, my scalp ALMOST NEVER EVER itches! lol its amazing

  • you read my mind for this video, was going to ask you what you do for protein earlier today. Luv the Replenishing conditioner. Is that all you use, or do you have a strictly moisturizing deep conditioner as well. You are a die hard ORS customer...maybe you will get the opportunity to hair model for them some day...

  • Meg what can I do/use for hair breakage? My hair recently started to break off in the back. Tips plz....

  • @Teezki You can never go wrong with Aphogee Two step Protein treatment (to be used once every other month). It stops breakage something serious. I've used it and everyone I know who has used it-its helped a great deal. You get the treatment and moisturizer to put the moisture back after the protein treatment.

  • @Teezki how often do you do protein/moisture?

  • @ulovemegz I Used to do it often like every night. But I had stopped for a while and just recently started back when I noticed the breakage. During the winter I stopped moisturizing because I basically got lazy and started noticing the breakage after I had stopped. The problem areas are the back and my left side. What should I do?

  • This is a very helpful video

  • Hair Mayonnaise work well for natural hair. I stopped using it simply because it was empty lol! And I have not just bought but it works well with my natural hair actually. ;) I'll watch your videos that talk about hair, even if you are not natura' it can still help. :) thanks for sharing

  • do you not use mane and tail anymore for a light protein??

  • @brionnakennedy not currently

  • @ulovemegz Is it something wrong w/ it or ur just trying something diff?

  • @TheLoverOfChanel Yes, you should add a moisturizing deep conditioner to your regimen weekly because you need to maintain a balance of moisture and protein.

  • do you deep condition under the dryer? i asked around and some people say going under the dryer is mandatory for the full effect of deep conditioning and some say that it isnt, but if you dont go under the dryer you need to keep it in longer.. what are your thoughts? anyone can help me out btw... :-)

  • @mickaela5 Definitely think that is a question of 'you know your own hair'. For some people they definitely need the dryer to help the conditioner penetrate their hair. If you don't know your hair yet, or are just starting your hair journey, I'd say use the dryer (or heat cap) - if that's an option. I deep conditioned this past Friday (with Elasta qp's new soy ql deep conditioner), but don't have a dryer so I left it on longer. Trial and error is the best advice I suppose.

  • @mickaela5 yes I apply heat. but if i dont apply heat I leave it on longer

  • i noticed when using heavy or creamy based products and since my hair is thin, i water them down before applying. rinses are not as long and less heavy build up.

  • What is co-washing exactly?

  • @barnesfam when you wash your hair with a conditioner not a shampoo

  • @brionnakennedy Oh. Thank you.

  • @barnesfam no prob
