Start up that screaming 2 cycle detroit in that neighborhood!!!! Let alone let run all night during a power outage!!!! You better be able to withstand dirty looks from your neighbors !!!!!!!!!!
@EZ570 True! you could soundproof the whole cabinet be much quieter, when we had an outage few months ago ours was the only house out of 400 with lights still on.
It is a 2-71 Detroit Diesel that produces 15,000 watts or 15kw. Sounds sweet-it will last longer then you! Be sure to only use straight 40 weight oil in it-no multi viscosity.
Yep- no multi-viscosity oil. It's the biggest mistake people when they buy old 2-stroke powered trucks. Run them with multi-vis and they'll go through oil like it's nothing.
nice bit of kit you've got there mate very nice I bet that little baby can push out some Amps, volts, watts I'd love something like that for emergency's and to use to power my amateur radio equipment when I'm portable on top of a hill somewhere DX'ing it would be fantastic to run all my equipment and radios ETC but I'd never be able to aford somethinfg like that you've got I bet you payed a fortune for it as well. How mutch are you selling it for?? and where are you. Stephen Liverpool {UK}.

A beautiful restoration I must say! Plenty of time and patience spent on this one. An often forgotten piece of military history lives (and works) on!
