  • Nice Restoration, Well Done.

  • still for sale? how much ?

  • Start up that screaming 2 cycle detroit in that neighborhood!!!! Let alone let run all night during a power outage!!!! You better be able to withstand dirty looks from your neighbors !!!!!!!!!!

  • @EZ570 True! you could soundproof the whole cabinet be much quieter, when we had an outage few months ago ours was the only house out of 400 with lights still on.

  • Did you buy this at a military auction? Very cool unit ! Great job on the resto

  • Is the engine painted white to make leaks easier to find?

  • It is a 2-71 Detroit Diesel that produces 15,000 watts or 15kw. Sounds sweet-it will last longer then you! Be sure to only use straight 40 weight oil in it-no multi viscosity.

  • @donnactrc

Yep- no multi-viscosity oil. It's the biggest mistake people when they buy old 2-stroke powered trucks. Run them with multi-vis and they'll go through oil like it's nothing.

  • I WANT ONE (LEMONADE) very nice indeed! someone spent some time on it.

  • Excellent condition, thumbs up!

  • 220V 60A=13.2kW.

  • @Jaimoore12
