Lack of evidence, there has been miracles that could never be explained. These things still happen today. But why does god need to show himself to you? What have you done that makes you deserve to see him? You made your choice to go against him, and as your heart hardens. You may never see. Wether the knowledge has been or is used for good or bad is irrelevant. It distinguishes fact from fiction. It has less validity because the claims it makes are either not falsifiable, repeatable or demonstrable. That makes it undistinguishable from being fiction. Science books today are based on demonstrable evidence.

I'm not convinced that he even exists, but God as a concept is by and large is rather horrible. I know I'm already condemned to be burnt to death in Gehenna if what we are talking about is true. Atheists are the ones telling us the planet is over populated and abortion helps keep population in check. If the world is so "overpopulated"- why not do something about it and commit suicide? The concept of free will is one I have always had difficulty getting my head around. Obviously, it is my choice I am typing, I don't have to. But the chemical reactions enabling this to happen, science clearly says that they are not under conscious control bit are a result of stimulus by another reaction. They all obey local rules. So is there really free will, or is it just an illusion due to our inability to easily conceptualize the molecular basis of things?

@ModeLTU None of God's morals are outdated. God made men and women different. To deny the differences is foolish but many NOW women do deny the differences and are therefore wrong and will end up in many wrong conclusions. They have a free will and can do this if they want. I prefer not to think foolishly.
As far as slavery- if God says it's OK then I say it's OK. But the original hebrew slaves could have families and keep their own children. I learned that in USA that kids were sold away- Bad.

I don't claim to be smarter than God from the Bible, I DENY his existence because to me it can't be God who wrote the bible, because a lot of the stuff written there seems so primitive and is based on the morals of the people who lived during the time bible was written, rather than divine being who created everything in existence.
@JesusLuvsU75 I used to feel that fear of questioning whether something makes sense, too, when I was a believer.I felt that God will know that I'm "betraying" him and will punish me somehow.However, as time went on and more and more stuff made no sense and I met other people who had similar ideas, it got easier.

But after searching for the truth for years about where everything came from etc. I was led to believe in God again. Then I asked God to show me why these things seemed inconsistent. Lack of evidence, there has been miracles that could never be explained. These things still happen today. But why does god need to show himself to you? What have you done that makes you deserve to see him? You made your choice to go against him, and as your heart hardens. You may never see. God created all of it and every human being. The thing that baffles me, is that they haven't proved Evolution yet, there are still many holes in this theory, and it's ALWAYS changing (i would know, I use to be athiest myself) and yet God and his word has survived over 3000 years. My dad was suppost to die a year ago on a heart attack, but he didnt when he main vein was completely blocked. I should have died when I was born, my brother should have died when he was only 2, when he drowned and WAS DEAD. God does love us, but if we deny him and indulge in sin, he won't reward us.

Wether the knowledge has been or is used for good or bad is irrelevant. It distinguishes fact from fiction. It has less validity because the claims it makes are either not falsifiable, repeatable or demonstrable. That makes it undistinguishable from being fiction. Science books today are based on demonstrable evidence.

Personal revelations are justification for you, but no one else can take that as proof that it actually is true. It is undistinguishable from insane people hearing voices in their heads. Can you demonstrate in any way that what you say youre hearing is true? Yes of course theres objective truth. But to say god exists, you must prove it.

I'm not convinced that he even exists, but God as a concept is by and large is rather horrible. I know I'm already condemned to be burnt to death in Gehenna if what we are talking about is true. However I could never even believe in something that didnt give me a single shred of evidence to base my belief in. It's impossible and a waste of time, at least for me.

In the real world, if miracles exist, then there is no free will. If I pray that a girl I like would date me, and she does, then that means that SHE does not have free will as it was the divine will of God that forced her to go out with me and not her choice.

The concept of free will is one I have always had difficulty getting my head around. Obviously, it is my choice I am typing, I don't have to. But the chemical reactions enabling this to happen, science clearly says that they are not under conscious control bit are a result of stimulus by another reaction. They all obey local rules. So is there really free will, or is it just an illusion due to our inability to easily conceptualize the molecular basis of things?

Chimp brains and our brains are most similar. Sure, chimps are only x amount smarter than Dryopithecus, our common ancestor, and we're a bit more than x smarter, but that's just the difference in which type of societal bonds we evolved. I don't claim to be smarter than God from the Bible, I DENY his existence because to me it can't be God who wrote the bible, because a lot of the stuff written there seems so primitive and is based on the morals of the people who lived during the time bible was written, rather than divine being who created everything in existence.

@JesusLuvsU75 I used to feel that fear of questioning whether something makes sense, too, when I was a believer.I felt that God will know that I'm "betraying" him and will punish me somehow.However, as time went on and more and more stuff made no sense and I met other people who had similar ideas, it got easier.
I really feel we reached a standstill, we will just repeat same things over and over again and waste our time.So we might as well stop

@ModeLTU I was raised Catholic. Then I became an atheist because of the things I saw as wrong. Like eternal hell, natural disasters. But after searching for the truth for years about where everything came from etc. I was led to believe in God again. Then I asked God to show me why these things seemed inconsistent. Anyway, it's unusual for me to feel compassion for ppl on you tube, but I really do hope that someday you will turn back to God. So when we break communication, good luck in your life

@ModeLTU if a person doesn't consciously choose something --- a guy most often will never choose to be gay; but he does consciously choose to put the moves on another guy, or let another guy put the moves on him. So it's the action that is a sin- not his tendency.
I know it's terrible for a person not to be normal and then on top of it, he can't even do things that are natural to him. It's terrible that ppl R born midgets and deaf. You don't call them sinners because they are not doing

Sin makes people's lives miserable. But don't blame God. Well if God is so loving why doesn't he do something to fix it. I used to think that myself.
