I don't know if you have ever smelled it, but my favorite aquatic is Z by Emeregildo Zegna. It is not too popular and I had no idea of its existence, but as soon as I smelled it I loved it. For me it packs a spicy aquatic character that is great, plus durable. Agua Di Gio is great but it's not a phenomenon, there are many good aquatic perfumes out there. I think a good portion of people directly go to it just because of name and popularity, they don't take the time to smell around.

Does anybody out there get this same experience with this frag, when you spray it and sniff it right away, does it kind of have a alcoholy smell to it? I never remember it being that way when I first purchased this in 07 but now in 2010, I suspect its turned on me but I'm not sure. The sillage used to be a lot stronger to me but I've gone back to it a few times and its not as strong or maybe it's just me. The drydown is still similar but sillage is not what it used to be, maybe it's me :(

The crazy thing about the comment you made on the 5 hour longevity is I have really poor longevity with fragrances, even A-Men. I have used the stuff before and happen to have a sample now, I used it the other day and almost 24 hours later I still smell this faintly. lol I don't get it!!! Anyway, I am not a big fan of this one, I guess it smells good but it really is just too played out. Not something I enjoy on myself anymore.

I'm sorry Tim but this review of this product is horrible. Your other reviews were okay but this one is not a professional one. Apparently, I don't smell the "bad drydown" you experience and neither did the 19 people I asked. Maybe it just sucks with your body chemistry. And can you please stop reffering to the girls/date? Who cares if everyone has it? If it smells good you'll get laid. It's the best smelling thing ever.

hey matt, im sorry you didnt like my reviews, Aqua di Gio opening smell great on my skin but theres a note in the fragrance that (probably the jasimine) that goes sour on my skin, i cant control it. it just happens on me lol, im really glad it works for you,but it dont do so well on myself, also keep in mind that was my second review ive evr done a long time ago. i hope you enjoy my other reviews.

True, everyone is different. I think this fragrance works well with 95% of the people though although some people do have a different chemistry. On me, the dreamer smells absolutely horrible. I'm going to stick with gio for now on.

like its great Aqua di Gio works well with your chemistry matt, another on you might want to try is Versace Pour Homme it has that sporty aquatic feel you like in ADGio, but dry downs to a similar to Chanel Allure Sport, it also has a better longevity than ADGio imo, try it out i think youll like it : ], the dreamer has a sweet dry foral feel that works great with me and everybodys loves it, im sorry it didnt do that well on your skin.

GIO smells alright, the smell gets old after a while, too alcoholy if you ask me, not to mention it reminds me of clubs cuz everyone wears it, kinda over saturated if you ask me you got to be original and getting laid has little to do with what cologne you're wearing the cologne is just an added plus to your overall game. I think Pleasures for Men is better than GIO, by far.

GIÒ IS PRONOUNCED "JÔ" AND NEITHER JÍO NOR JIÓ.
