I love Pat, I've been loving his music ever since 1977, I have almost his entire discography, and I am also a working guitarist, on top of being born and grown in Italy, and I cannot help asking myself a question, after watching this video: With all of the great musicians that live and work in Italy, and with all of the great information and intelligence in the italian music industry and journalism, why did they send this guy to interview him, making fools out of Italians?

@Notespompon Actually the weird thing about Metheny, considering how 'trippy' some of his music is, is that not only has he never taken any acid, but he's never used any drugs at all, never smoked a joint, never even had a beer in his whole life! He says this himself on his website. He is a totally straight. He did admit to being a junk-food addict in the early days of the PMG group though, drinking lots of Dr. Peppers & eating red-hot 7-11 burritos in the middle of the night. hee hee

I know Pat and he was not snobbish in the least. He never is. So the guy has some bad info. Pat was very polite to this guy. He could have shredded him, yes, but he did not. He just told it like it was. He has one of the greatest memory retention that is nothing less than super human. He just set the record straight. Pat is the COOLEST! Always. He is the most consistent human beings ever!
