I'M sorry but fresno is ugly looking its not even a nice place especially the downtown part it looks old a worthless i think the best looking downtown in the valley is VISALIA, CA because their downtown has more things and the buildings are so much better looking and bigger especially the KAWEAH DELTA HOSPITAL it's huge. no desrespect to FRESNO because i live there but our downtown is not intersting at all..

@sideslide23 HEY MAN! northern fresno,madera and clovis aren't nice at all and anyways madera ain't part of fresno and madera doesn't have have squat all they have is that childrens hospital that's it. have you been to VISALIA'S DOWNTOWN it's really nice and alot of people take that place over FRESNO'S DOWNTOWN..... because not only does it look way better but there's alot more things to do in their DOWNTOWN....

fresno isnt that honestly..they are doing alot of reconstruction in downtown,and lots of new safe neighborhoods that offer like homes,townhomes,apartments,and alot of shopping areas:))

@musiclyrics091 I used to live in Fresno, when I lived there we lived in the north part of Fresno, our cross street is Marks, Herdon, Valentine, and Sierra, I lived on Freemont street right accross Herdon from Forkner Elementry school. I lived there for 19 years, whats wrong with Fresno that there not honestly for example, in 2002 they've put in the Grizzly Stadium in down town Fresno.

It won't beside beginning of 2010, Nevada are starting on their High speed Rail calls the Desert Xpress, and it will go from Victorvill C.A. to Las Vegas N.V. traveling 150MPH if Desert Xpress can start on their construction soon, so can CAHSR.

I remember talking about it too. And how excited I was...though I STILL live on the East Coast. Take a look at this (A Program Broadcast back in the early 1980's on PBS Television):

When you think about it...IF this were built in '82 to begin with, other states SHOULD have the smarts to sign on. HSR would have "expanded across the USA like Wildfire".

By 1992, 1000's more jobs created from R&D of the trains to ticket sellers to vendors 'eagerly' marketing such Model Trains. Imagine: Models flying off the shelves just like the Acela Express!

Where would we be? Busy...

1) 1,000's of people working.

2) to better OUR rail system.

3) with photo ops of our trains.

the High speed rail are way safer than any other trains in the U.S. because there no grade crossing, they don't share the tracks with the Freight train like Amtrak and metrolink, or they would be another fatal incident like the Metrolink in L.A. involving with the freight train.
