I bought a Sprint EVO 4G 1 month ago,got it rooted and installed Gingerbread 2.3 and a custom ROM.Then I stood my old Instinct side by side next to the EVO and the Instinct threw itself out the window and got itself run over by a slow moving freight train.Ouch!

My dad got an 800W, and he had it replaced 3 times...VERY cheaply made, complete piece of badly manufactured Chinese shit. All 4 of them were terribly glitchy and constantly nonresponsive. It had an incredibly bad quality and quiet speaker with a limited amount of functions on it.

I still have my Instinct that I got on the release date...like the 13th one sold. It was glitchy for two months until some huge updates, and now with some recent ones its GREAT.

800W sucks...

You know whats funny is i just had the treo 700wx but then i changed it for the instinct which in my opinion is better and yeah you text faster on the 700wx but as long as i text i really don't care. The treo also slowed down on me a lot and it would freeze for three hours but thats what happened to me maybe not someone else but to me. Anyway Instinct is better with tons more applications and overall quality

i HEAVILY rely on it. Every time i plug my 800w into my computer it automatically backs up my contacts, favorites, and selected files. I mainly use my Treo for personal use but i also do business with it and keep track of expenses and money totals with microsoft office. I also use the wifirouter to supply wifi to laptops/ipod touches on the go. And operamini is the fastest internet i've ever seen. Any windows mobile phone will do all that, but i love the full keyboard and touchscreen also.

If you ordered your Instinct online or over the phone you need to have it activated at a store. The set up process requires the phonne to be activated then reset after the data has provisioned. Otherwise you will have problems. There is a right way and a wrong way. If you purchase the phone at a store do not leave unless the rep has fully provisioned the phone correctly. I have sold over a hundred of these phones and only one person has complained of the customers I helped. Ask a proffessional

Have you tried any of the BlackBerry devices? If you like the Treo line you might like the Curve joints. The BlackBerry OS is, IMO, a lot more stable than the Palm OS. There are a lot more applications for Palm devices, but that also might contribute to some of the instability some have experienced.

The 800w does look nice, though, and it comes with Wi-Fi and GPS. Let us know how it is.

fuck the instinct treo.best phone out for sprint right now is the Touch no keyboard but use the TOUCHPAL 3.0 keyboard sprint has a leaked rom for it with gps rev a & windows 6.1...also if you like to go to the gym use the motorola s9 headsets it has the controls on the headsets so you never have to touch your phone.u can even answer phones on it..plus the touch just dropped in price its 100 bucks! thats bcuz diamond & touch pro is coming out in sept. its a powerful phone. keep cursing fuckers!

the media player on the mogul is better u also have choices when it comes 2 third party media players(i prefer the htc media player). when it comes to ring tones the mogul is still better, u can change all ur songs n2 ring tones. internet is faster on the mogul as well. the big problem with the mogul is its lack of rom, so its slow and it crashes a lot. if i were u i would wait 4 the 800w i think that might b all u need. i'll review it this week. i hope this was helpful
