Madonna started out making disco/funk on the New York club scene, a scene in which people didn't care about racial divisions. Like I said singing is just one bit of performing, Madonna is a better dancer, has better chereography and her shows are conceptually lightyears ahead of Beyonce's thus making Madonna the better performer.
