if you played around with certain pokemon cries on the regular gameboy, some cries would sound even weirder. for example, mixing smeargle with hitmontop. also, a few more faves: foritriss, furret, centret, gerafferig, magcargo, gligar, magbee, quagsire, and stantler.

But if you listen closely it sounds like Heracross and Scizor sound like they're saying the Pokemon: Ledyba.

Then if you listen closely again Ledyba and Ledian sound like they say the Pokemon: Hoppip

And the Hoppip family (Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff) somewhat sound like they're saying the Pokemon: Cleffa

And then Cleffa and Igglybuff's kinda sound the same.

I hate Gen 2 for one specific reason. Neverminding that it gave us awesome Pokes like Houndoom, Scizor, Umbreon, and pre-evolutions to some of Gen 4's coolest Pokes. That's all awesome. However, they also made Blissey, and that fat pink whore can die in a fire.
