It was wrong to refer to "his kind," meaning whites. Finally, we don't pay gov employees to divide, so it was wrong to make it "about white and black." German's economy was wrecked, but Britain was still the most powerful in the world, but even then Britain was in decline because Mercantilism is an awful idea. WWII helped the United States, and created some United States wealth, but really it was more that the wealth of the entire continent of Europe along with Japan and China was completely destroyed.

Problem wasn't in what Shirley Sherrod did years ago. Instead, it was wrong in her recent NAACP speech to say farmer was racist (no evidence), followed by "I know [present tense] what he was doing." It was wrong to refer to "his kind," meaning whites. Finally, we don't pay gov employees to divide, so it was wrong to make it "about white and black." Helpful advice to NAACP is nice, but how often did she provide similar to white groups? Her recent comments & actions rose to the level of racism.

The US was provoked both times and thousands of Americans died before we were actively involved. The deficit and and debt are also a poison which should not be there and is a symptom of big government and not a free market. Yes we are going down the drain and it is because of threats to our freedoms and the free market.

Slavery was illegal in the north long before it was made illegal in the south and the north still kicked the souths ass when it came of GDP and wealth creation. The South actually would have been better off economically without slavery where the would be slaves were now forced to compete and the would be owners would be forced to compete on salary.

@slickrickdarula The part about the world wars is only partially true. WWII gave the United States very little benefit. German's economy was wrecked, but Britain was still the most powerful in the world, but even then Britain was in decline because Mercantilism is an awful idea. WWII helped the United States, and created some United States wealth, but really it was more that the wealth of the entire continent of Europe along with Japan and China was completely destroyed.

Government officials have a long track record of doing a poor job of predicting consumer behavior and meeting consumers needs. There is a reason that the Chinese are voting with their feet and going to Hong Kong. There is a reason that the North Koreans are leaving for South Korea (Not not China btw) There is a reason that the Russians/Ukrainians/East Germans left for Western Europe

1. Habeas Corpus. I am assuming you are talking about "enemy combatants" at Guantanamo Bay. This is a really long and complicated issue, but it will suffice to say that most tea parties are in favor of military tribunals for these men and are not in favor of torture.
2. Executive branch extended powers? Almost every single president in US history has had more power than the previous. At what point do we start protesting? We are now.

Pretty simple really. The NAACP is accusing the Tea Parties of being racist with no evidence and the video evidence of NAACP members in the audience showing a clear racial bias. The hypocrisy and political manuverings of the NAACP while falsly using race to further their politics along with the fact that Ben Jealous and Al Sharpton are in weekly meetings in the White House are an alarm bell that should create a massive growth in the Tea Parties infusion into the Republican Party right away.

From what I can tell, he just showed half of the speech. There was still racism there. When she said "I didn't do everything I could do," the people weren't gasping and booing, they were laughing.
