  • How did you make a very thin doll? I've been trying with diferent materials and I can make a thin doll like yours it always broke. Any advice?

  • Awesome job man.

  • great experiment, try to make longer stop motion clips so you can get more experience, congratulations

  • I'm still not sure how to secure the feet to a surface in each frame without making it obvious. What's the secret?

  • i agree with soccermania, add some more frames and you'll have a very nice walk cycle.

  • The moves are very clean, but you should try to double some pictures, so that the action would be slower, but awesome overall work!!

  • wots it side??

  • um..im trying to DRAW people walking for a stop animation thing (like a flip book) any advice?

  • Well, I never really mastered walking animations, so not sure how good my advice is, but I would recommend watching some videos of walking frame by frame. Also, there are quite a few good tutorials around on the internet if you can find them. Good luck!

  • thany you : )

  • @cottencandykitten One leg after another, imagine you're viewing them from behind..

  • @cottencandykitten use a black bored like my videos, you can erase easy and its all on one sheet

  • @EppySite ee?? intreaged,, tell me more..

  • ye,it is pretty hard to do people walking.this guys don really well to make it walk.

  • id like to see u do any better

  • This is cool!

  • wow that was so cool how did u do it so the floor doesnt have holes? im a begginer hope to be as good as that one day

  • I didn't - the floor did have holes in it. You can try using magnets under the feet though - but you need to have very strong magnets, and it doesn't really work too well (from what I've seen and heard).

  • Is there an armature in that character?

  • Yes. It has a twisted wire armature that is strengthened with rolled paper/cardboard between joints (e.g. the two straight arm segments).

  • have u tried epoxy ?

  • what is epoxy?

  • oh wow i didint know that you cover the holes pretty good i didnt see them thanks for the advice and hope to see more of your work soon

  • That's awesome! Nice fluent movement, first attempt at all, or at walking? I uploaded my first attempt earlier, but it's not the greatest! :P

  • Goodjob!

  • amazing!

  • aww its soo cute!!! its got little all-stars on!!

  • Would it be possible to put clay under their feet so they would stick, and used non-slippery surfaces? Or maybe put magnets on their feet and put them on a table, and putting another magnet under the table?

  • Awesome job. I don't see how you made him stand. I only do claymation so it's easy for me but that looked hard. He looks a bit depressed though doesn't he.

  • nice

  • iStopMotion. Though, I think this may have just been an image sequence that I made into a movie with Quicktime.

  • how do u get him to stand????

  • The puppet has nuts in the bottom of his feet that are then bolted through holes in the floor.

  • Awesome job!! I can never get them to walk =(

  • awsome. that character is awsome.

  • Very good, but the legs were always bent.the leg must be straight everytime the foot comes into contact with the floor

  • Thanks for the tip. I've actually tried it again with straight legs (at the contact point), but I messed up the arm movements, so I'll have to re-do it and post the results.
