WOW brings back some memories this. I can remember this episode very clearly as i was totally hooked on AW and Jan back then. I agree it did totally suck when van dyke stepped in to replace hawke, i stopped watching it at that point. Season's 1-3 are the best and the good thing is you can buy it as a boxset in the 1-3 not including the awful 4th season. Thankgod! :)

@xxdublincitygirlxx The end of season 3 before they took it over to USA Network and did the show over totally.....the end of 3 should have been the end of the show.....String taking care of his brothers possible son at the end saying he'll be the Dad, really did tie the show together at the end......it is ashame they ended the show the way they did, and the end of season 4 had no closure anyway...to me season 4 shouldnt exist.

CONT:Season 4 was A low budget production because CBS didnt want to make A 4th season so USA NETWORK decided to make A 4th season by purchassing the rights from CBS since the show was going to be shown on USA new cast members had to be used the old cast were written off the set.after the end of season 4 it was clear that season 4 was the end of airwolf it was not as good with the old cast.

I think Blackjack should have been the final episode to the Airwolf series. Sin Jin is found and Sin Jin, Dom, Cait and String take Airwolf back to FIRM.

Airwolf was on CBS until cancelled. Donald (producer) scrambled to get one more season so he could get syndication. It ment a new network, new production company and writing staff, and new casting contracts. Jan and Ernest didn't want to continue under new contracts. All the chemistry between writers, cast, production staff, and audience was stripped. That type thing always makes a new identity.

This video was hard to watch, B-rated acting from everyone! I was a die hard and loyal Airwolf fan back in the day's, but even with being an old fan, this video stunk up the room. I can't believe it, Stringfellow going out the way he did, if it was a air to air Airwolf dogfight, that would be one thing, that's honor, but to just slip away, leave things a great mystery and fade away, talk about lame. I'm glad that I only own seasons 1-3, I will just leave it at that. The rest, I.M.O. is a waste!

I don't know why they even filmed a 4th season, as they only had the mockup for filming. The real chopper was sold to a company in Germany, and crashed in a storm 1991, killing all on board.

So all they used was old material, and bad special effects.

So in essence... Season 4 doesn't exist for me, as well as Jar Jar Abram's version of Star Trek.

The production quality of the fourth season could not compare to the preceding seasons but I really enjoyed the chemistry of the cast in season 4. Their dialogue and exchanges seemed more fun and natural. It's probably easier for me to watch all the seasons because I started with season 4 when I was a kid so I didn't think anything was lacking. I love season 4 music!

After Series 3 Airwolf should of ended, String, Dom and the F.I.R.M made it. Airwolf was based on the whole point of Hawke's Brother SinJin being a M.I.A in Vietnam, really it shouldn't of carried on like this. Possibly just ended on Series 3.
