@noideac True. You have to give the game that, at least. Have you ever played "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay"? That game also had a first person fighting mechanic. Although, it was not the main premise of the game like it is for Breakdown. It was more of a... thing you did when you 'could not' use guns. That said, the the hand to hand combat was fantastic. It was fast, fluid, and enemies reacted brilliantly to the blows you dealt. I wish Breakdown had something similar...

@SunStridar I got butcher bay before i got breakdown. I personally don't like First person stealth to much, so i couldn't get into. I also found breakdown to have a much better fighting system. There both interesting games. I have a hard time taking butcher bay seriously since Vin Diesel is such a terrible actor lol

@SunStridar Breakdown's combat was much better than EfBB's. In EfBB you could only use the one attack move and you couldn't even move while you blocked. It was really simplistic. Breakdown's is much more expansive with a wide range of moves. Zeno Clash is the pinnacle of first person melee combat though. You should play that.

Hardass game but the game is really rewarding to beat. If they took time for COOP, less scripting, more guns, Aiming down the sights, smarter ai this game would have been incredibley better. The Story is a single hand replay value lol

why do you think that? Mirrors Edge is like the master of FPS free roam whatever! Even though I have only played the demo..... I could tell though that it looks like after you beat the game you can get bored of it. So i shouldn't rly be judging.

I bought this game when it first came out, but sold it a few weeks later. It was definitely ahead of its time, but the execution was pretty lacking. I'd love to see some kind of sequel on the 360, the game had a lot of potential.

I got this at Gamestop many weeks ago and then it didn't work on my 360... Maybe a glitch, but it is a good game. Played the demo... that was my first OXM (official xbox magazine) demo disc. April 2004.
