@GrooveDrummin Alot of people think Bonzo invented or popularized playing the kit with bare hands, but I heard and found out that it was an African American named Pappa Joe Jones in the golden age of jazz, man!
@GrooveDrummin Your drumming sounds like it was "miked" in a recording studio, man! Very high quality instead of the "rinky dink" audios with most YouTube videos.
Any drummers know the "Realistic Rock" book by carmine appice? Killer!!! Bad ass shit and it's all good and all fun and gets heavy!!! Check it out if you dig drummers like Bonnham ect.. This guy's heavy!!
@GrooveDrummin Right on man! It's had a few things added recently and it comes with a couple cd's and some versions have a dvd as well. I hope more guys my age get it and try it out. It could really help rock&roll. Seriously it needs more drummers. The guys out there usually can't play that well. Too many so so players with no licks and not much of a groove. Rock on brotha man!!
I really like it a lot. I thought the ping would get lost when playing fast but not the case. The crash is very usable and sounds huge on this thing!! I'm not sure if you know already but if you go to the Paiste website you can hear samples of all the cymbals they have.
you could get close, try this...coated 2 ply for batter and stock reso or smooth aftermarket unported. Slap a felt strip on either side and tune kinda low...should be good to go :) You will miss a lot of high end "slap" because of the depth of your bass drum but you'll get plenty of boooom!
I'm 19 and would love more than anything to start playing but I've been told by many that it's too late for me to start. If I did start playing I would dedicate all the time I had solely to playing. I would just like to hear some opinions on the matter.

Thanks a lot Davide and it makes me very happy to hear you found my tuning vids useful. Good news is, I have already began work on the toms tuning vid. Won't be too much longer...
I encountered a delay. I was moving the overhead camera when, here we go....the screwdriver falls out of my hand and lands on the brand new 18" remo vintage emperor head. You think it could have landed handle end down?? Anyway, I need a new head and now it is on back order for another week or two :(
@GrooveDrummin XD holy crap that's one of the funniest things I've ever heard. I feel your pain and am now disappointed that the tom tuning video won't be up for a while, but that's just one hell of a facepalm!
(Whats up with that tom bouncing around-is that a rim mount? I had that problem with a fix mount on a tama, and I added some lock washers and grommets from the local home depot and it fixed it. Don't know if that idea will help you or not but I just wanted to throw it out there) Doesnt seem to matter though as it works well for you.
Actually, never thought of it but we did do a tribute to Sabbath and we always played covers including Zep tunes. Like I always say, I am not a Bonham clone or try to be, it just comes out that way because I studied the guys Bonham did.
@muntario1982 Who gives a shit how big someone is. I've known some 400 pounders that flat rock. Zvasin people who can only see someones physical traits and makes judgment calls suck!

Hi, is there any way you can describe how you tune your supraphonic to get that fat Bohnham Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1972 sound? Also what heads do you use? Thanks......
how come u only have done grooves from john bonham nd ian paice but not from bill ward the drummer from black sabbath? he gots some cool beats too but whats the difference between bonham nd paice than ward? just a curious thought
Bill ward is a great drummer and I have always enjoyed playing sabbath tunes. The difference is the sound and techniques used. I will consider doing a vid covering a sabbath tune.
awesome that would be so cool nd thanks for replying back really appreciate it alot nd yeah some sabbath tunes would be great in ur vids to show all drummers how to play it too um thanks again

Bill's playing was monsterous and dark, but not in the same fat groove vein as Bonzo. Sabbath ownz.
