If I were to let the hole ridden plot slide and just critique TF2 on its action, it still lacked what the first one delivered: an epic effing fight between Optimus and Megatron, it lasted like 2 mins in a forest where there's nothing to get blown up and in the end Megatron ran off like a poon. After the borderline racist and entirely un-funny twins and testicle joke, dumbing it down wasn't hard.
You basically just spat on your credibility as a professional movie critic and further enforced the stereotype that movie going audiences are dumbing down expectations and valuing superficial themes rather than true literary and artistic talent.

The fights are FAR more satisfying when a character is fighting that has been developed to the point that you care about them. That is what truly keeps you on the edge of your seat. xD After a while the explosions and shit just get numbing because there is nothing TRULY satisfying there anymore.

This review makes sense, and it has a lot of truth to it, but I think it applies more to Transformers 1. Transformers 2 got to the point where it was totally over the top. Everyone liked the cars and everyone liked the Megan, but those two things simply cannot fuel a 2 and half hour movie. Once a movie has a robot girl with a tail come out of her ass, humping mini robots, annoying irrelevant twin mexican cars, and robot testicles, you know the film has hit rock bottom.
This is pretty much the funniest thing I have seen on the net in a long time. It is very rare that I laugh out loud by myself. It is even rarer that I laugh out loud by myself in front of my computer.
I completely agree with Peter. Far too many people go to the movies and expect far too much out of them (Peter you are even guilty of this sometimes.) Micheal Bay make flashy, pretty movies, don't go to one of his movies expecting Oscar worthy performances (except Affleck in Armageddon "Harry I love you!" brilliant.) You have to understand all of you.... Transformers was made 50 percent for dumbass and the other 50 percent was to give a tribute to the 80s show which has a way better movie then this.
You may not like the movie but it is a tribute to us transformers fans....

i kinda liked this movie but it still had its flaws even in the category of awesome mindless violence like the shortest, most pathetic, cop out final battle ever - and there were other things. which is not to say i dont appeciate a good intellectual thriller like inception....which is hands-down the best movie i've ever seen in my life. but i see where you're goin, just put your mind on stand-by, sit down and enjoy the beautiful women, beautiful cars, and beautiful carnage and explosions.

Thought it makes it better if you can enjoy it on an intellectual level as well.
The fights are FAR more satisfying when a character is fighting that has been developed to the point that you care about them. That is what truly keeps you on the edge of your seat. xD After a while the explosions and shit just get numbing because there is nothing TRULY satisfying there anymore.

This review makes sense, and it has a lot of truth to it, but I think it applies more to Transformers 1. Transformers 2 got to the point where it was totally over the top. Everyone liked the cars and everyone liked the Megan, but those two things simply cannot fuel a 2 and half hour movie. Once a movie has a robot girl with a tail come out of her ass, humping mini robots, annoying irrelevant twin mexican cars, and robot testicles, you know the film has hit rock bottom.

I completely agree with Peter. Far too many people go to the movies and expect far too much out of them (Peter you are even guilty of this sometimes.) Micheal Bay make flashy, pretty movies, don't go to one of his movies expecting Oscar worthy performances (except Affleck in Armageddon "Harry I love you!" brilliant.)
