this song was made when they were given the opportunity to make the them song for romeo and juliet in the 90's, the problem was the director wanted a different song for the "exit music" to be played as the cast went down the screen, so, so poetically, they titled the song "exit music" and the lyrics were first going to be made from shakespear lines, but he watched the movie and changed his mind.
