Oh my god. They were all true fighters. Going through all that crap just for sailormoon makes you realize how much she meant to them. Crying as I watch this.
This is definately one of the most epic episodes. I mean i never really liked Rei until i saw this episode. It changed my whole prespective of her. I now love rei because you can see where her core values are and even though she has a tough outside she does what it take to help her friends :D

When Serenity/usagi defeted Beryl, she wish to be a normal girl again, which cause all of them, including Momoru to lose their memory of when the became Sailor scouts and their fight with Beryl. They get their memories back in the first two episode of season two, the Dark moon/crystal Tokyo saga, when Al and En appear.

Every time I see this, I can't help but think that these are easily the most frightening scenes in the entire series. I mean, for a number of them, all you hear is screaming. A lot to be left to the imagination. At least we know what happens later, so that brings some solace to the situation!

i think that mercury's death is the most horrible... she knew she hasn't got enought power to defeat her enemies ... but she decided to fight alone against 3 oh them ... just for the love she feels for her firends ... and for justice .... its really a suicide... but i think that die for the person you love is the less painfull way to die ...

I'm biased because I knew there was another season afterwards and thus I knew they would come back, but when I saw it, I thought it was kind of convoluted when they all died one by one so quickly and in a similar fashion (what was with that bed of spikes appearing every time?)
I mean, they'd survived against every monster fine until now and then suddenly they all get killed off at once? It's not a bad episode, but it just didn't impact me as much emotionally as I thought it would.
jpopkamaria, this battle takes place in the arctic, and the spikes are the result of the explosions breaking the ice down to the water underneath and refreezing instantly (yeah, I know the physics of that are enough to make your head ache).
The funniest thing about the English dub is Venus' death. The crescent beam makes the dng girl just vaporize but because that part is cut, it makes it look much worse. I honestly thought Venus lasered a hole in her face when I first watched the dub.

Sailor Mars is a true fighter. After getting trapped in snow and ice, killing off the first DD girl to try to attack Sailor Moon, getting shocked, and finally killing the final DD girl shows how much of a fighter she is and how much she wanted to protect Usagi despite them always fighting.
The best ever season. The most solid. And the best deaths! Thank you so much for this video, and thank you for putting the deaths in order. Jupiter and Venus die with the best way, and Mercury with the cultiest :P. 5 stars

I cried. So violent, yet so powerfull. They each died to protect their princess... but most importantly they did it to protect their friend.. and when you think about it.. eachother. So beautiful, even in tragedy.
in the end,sailor moon and tuxedo died too. but everybody got reincarnated, and then they all come back to their own world.but they are all brainwashed and didn't have any memory at all. they just remember about themselves and their ordinary life, not about their sailorscouts life. and all of them will remember and gathered again in the season 2. i've got the manga version !

They don't die in every season. Everyone dies in season 1... Then Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn die in the third season. Then everyone dies in the 5th season, except Sailor Moon.
Actually, they do die. When Eudial(sp) takes their pure heart crystals, they actually do die. They come back to life, though, because Pluto ressurects them by using their respective talisman's powers.
I almost cried when Jupiter died. I can see why this was edited. I'd have been traumatized as a child if I'd seen my heroes die like that. This is excellent BTW. *faves*

Oh My God I cried too cause they put up a good fight and the way that Serena / Usagi was acting screaming crying watching it hearing, I felt it and cried too I'm so attached to this so and I'll be 20 this year LoL, The way that Sailor Mercury tried to Protect her self with the bubble was very clever though you gotta admit.
I think Mercury did one of the most important things of all... destroying the illusion stone. Mercury doesn't get enough respect. She is my favorite. It was disturbing to see her violent death.
I had never seen the Japanese version of this, only the American English dub. Of course the Japanese is much better. You actually see the scouts die in this one but in the US version, they cut out a lot of parts as usual.

I almost cried when Jupiter died. I can see why this was edited. I'd have been traumatized as a child if I'd seen my heroes die like that. This is excellent BTW. *faves*

Oh My God I cried too cause they put up a good fight and the way that Serena / Usagi was acting screaming crying watching it hearing, I felt it and cried too I'm so attached to this so and I'll be 20 this year LoL, The way that Sailor Mercury tried to Protect her self with the bubble was very clever though you gotta admit.

I think Mercury did one of the most important things of all... destroying the illusion stone. Mercury doesn't get enough respect. She is my favorite. It was disturbing to see her violent death.

I had never seen the Japanese version of this, only the American English dub. Of course the Japanese is much better. You actually see the scouts die in this one but in the US version, they cut out a lot of parts as usual.
