  • I'm following 7 stories and they are all good, I'm going to go up to 10 by adding The Flash, Action Comics, and Justice League

  • there right. the new 52 is awsome. workin on the first 6 cancilations, nightwing, j.hex, swampthing, red hood, and there all great. heres and idea for some new 52's THUNDERCATS, WARBLADE, AND SUB-ZERO. get your asses rollin on that

  • wow static shock....wow his costume if that was him makes him look like a total fag

  • BTW to those reading... I am a 38yrold DC fanboy. Got hooked during the 1985 reboot.

For the most part I really dig the new DC 52. I just DONT like the soft reboot aspect.

It ruins the TEEN TITANS & Dick graysons history.

The Batman line ( while awsome right now) isnt so fresh or new compared to say Superman or Flash now. When superman fights Luthor its for the 1st time now.

When Batman fights the Joker now- its for the millionth time.

  • @masonTganes All heroes in both Marvel and DC fight the same villain most of the time. Its called an arch enemy! Captain America- Red Skull, Batman- Joker, Spider Man- Green Goblin, Wonder Woman- Chettah etc.

  • Imagine getting hooked on this whole DCnU 52 and 5 yrs from now the continuity inconsistancies start ruining stories..

Now imagine 10 yrs from now they scrap everything and start over again.

10 yrs from now everything you bought in 2011 does not count as continuity.

    That wouldnt bother you?

  • aquaman #1 is my favorite so far. The art is the best of all the new series and his struggles of dealing with being perceived as a wimpy super-hero is awesome.

  • Everybody just complains when someone tries to do something new. I am really enjoying these new stories!

  • whos the guy with wings at 1:00?

  • @rhy64 tim drake aka red robin. the 3rd robin.

  • so did they discontinue all other dc comics besides the new 52?

  • @PrivetCyan Other series that are not part of the DCnU are still continuing.

  • they are full of shit....they did this because sales are in the toilet, new teen titans is pure shit.....new justice league is ok i guess.....but just watch in a few months things will go back to normal, they will say this is a alternate world or timeline after people complain that it needs to go back to normal.they have done this before and back when they did that is exactly what happened.

  • we don't need a revamp of the old guys what we need is more focus on the new heroes. i.e. static shock, batman (terry), the new teen titans, and many more. i love bruce wayne but the old people need to be put on the shelf for a couple of years tops and make a new setting for the younger heroes.

  • I do not like the violence and sex in the new comics AT ALL. You will be held accountable for the things you are writing, drawing, and publishing.

  • I want to begin reading these comics, but I how no idea which series I should start with...I guess Batman sounds cool, but the rest? No idea.

    Any recommendations?

  • @Smileoscar Batman is my favorite of these new titles. My other favorites are Action Comics, Wonder Woman, Justice League Dark, Batwoman, All-Star Western, and Batgirl. Hope this helps! Hope you enjoy whatever comics you end up buying!

  • @LEGOcinema15 Thanks alot! I thought those you mentioned looked pretty interesting, and now that I have your recommendation, I'll defenitaly check them out! :)

  • Thank you DC! It's about time Superman lost the underwear and got an outfit worthy of his heritage. The new books look great! Get out there and buy some!

  • why do most of these heros look like teenagers? what have they done to you green arrow :(

  • "It's new!" Really DC, really. That's all you got to say?

  • I've always been hesitant to start reading comic books, and now I have no excuse.

  • WHERE CAN I GET THAT SONG?

  • Fifty-two titles is way too many. And why isn't digitally distributed titles way cheaper? There is use of paper, ink, and all that distribution cost. Just ripping people off.

  • I got Action Comics #1. Loved it.

Got JL#1. It was good, but a little confusing because of the knowledge that the Batman and GL continuities were untouched for the reboot.

GL#1 was good too, but I don't think it will sit well with a new reader, because it seems like you need prior knowledge about Sinestro and his corps, and how/why Hal lost his ring, to really know what's going on,

  • THE most UNfreindly and untruthful reboot in comics history.

with the exception of one or two books thus far. NONE of the #1s are ground zero books. You NEED TO KNOW lots of stuff that has happened yrs b4.

Am i supposed to know who hal jordan is because of the movie or because of Wiki? Maybe i wanna read a GL #1 and be introduced to him for the first time?

EPIC FAIL DC. cant wait until this whole venture hits the fan!!!!!!!!!

    after 35 yrs of reading I am O U T!

  • @masonTganes thats little harsh don't you think? ive never read a dc book "marvel zombie" i know very little about any title. but i read most of the new 52 books and i had no problem fallowing the story's and now i have dropped all marvel books and made the switch to dc. and not all books need to start off with an origin. ive read books where the origin was withheld for almost 10 years.

  • @masonTganes wow.............what are you in your 40s? Still reading comic books? Fail. Your whole life sounds like a fail. The comics are really good. Comics are for teens and young adults. You are probably a petefile. Get lost jackass.

  • @TheBatman135 yes i am 38 yrs old. I am of the older demographic but I present the demo that spends the most money on this stuff.

I dont remember what i wrote back when but ask yourself this.........Imagine getting hooked on this whole DCnU 52 and 5 yrs from now the continuity inconsistancies start ruining stories..

Now imagine 10 yrs from now they scrap everything and start over again.

    That wouldnt bother you?

  • its all the the major hitters right superman, batman, wonder woman, the Flash green lantern of course(Leaves out aquaman)

  • I got into comics! Its awesome! Cant wait to read some more!

  • Thank the lord this is happening! i always wanted to get into comics but since i never knew were to start i had a hard time, but now this will alow me to be a true dc comic book fan :D

  • @narutobboy well actually nooooo.....the new books in the most retarded way possible.....force u to have prior knowledge of previous continuty for pretty much each character in the justice league and green lantern and batman and teen titans, other wise quite a few things wont make sense to u....plus the new books just frankly arent that good really.....so they are pretty much lieing through their teeth in this interview....

  • WHERE THE F*** IS MARTIAN MANHUNTER!!!!!!

  • @borycar In Stormwatch.

  • in my opinion if they change batmans personality in any way they have smashed the comics into peices

  • My thoughts on this after reading Flashpoint #5 : everything that was in the old DCU post-crisis still happened the reason being Flash knows about it only he can't remember it. He personally admitted to Batman that he screwed the world trying to save his mom. So i wouldn't say that all the history is wasted. This is merely a continuation although it might sound contradicting. What's important is we still have these great stories to go back to.

  • And you kiddies can wash this shit down with a nice litre of New Coke.

  • he's actually right the characters are more famous than DC itself :O

  • @Officer Mickey1

You're kidding, right? Jim Lee had nothing to do with either "Crisis" or "Kingdom Come."

  • @beyou1954

oh man yea your right my bad

but i still enjoyed both of em

  • I'm 15 I love Batman always wanted to get into the comics but never knew where to start with so many storylines and I'm pretty excited with this new 52

  • @LordRandoom You sound like you were paid to say that...

  • @chrissup19 erm... *Gun Clicks* NO DC IS AMAZING ERM... I LOVE NEW 52 *cries*

  • @LordRandoom OMG I knew it!!! Don't worry I'll save you from DC's horror!!!

  • @chrissup19 joker stripped me and took pictures... :"(

  • @LordRandoom Really??? I'll have to ask him to make doubles...ha ha

  • @chrissup19 kinky

  • @LordRandoom Why would I not want to look at a naked stranger? I'd have to be a nut to not want to...

  • @chrissup19 totally... its all the rage right now ERRYBODY'S DOIN IT

  • @LordRandoom Totally, I sit around day to day hoping, no, praying, that I will see a perfect stranger just butt ass naked...it's a sickness really

  • @chrissup19 its consuming... its spreads like butter or squirrell aids but in the end... TITS OR GTFO... We must get help

  • @LordRandoom I'll be honest...I have no idea what you just said but I agree with it

  • @chrissup19 fuck tha police... im wearing a tux YEAAAHHHHHH!

  • @LordRandoom Where you from?

  • @chrissup19 UK u?

  • @LordRandoom I knew you were from over there lol...take a wild guess...

  • @chrissup19 AMMMMERRRRRICUUUUH FUCK YEAH

  • @LordRandoom COMIN AGAIN TO SAVE THE MOTHA FUCKIN DAY YEAH!

    AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!

FREEDOM IS THE ONLY WAY YEAH!

  • @LordRandoom I haven't seen that movie in a while man ha ha, I'm glad you reminded me of it.

  • @chrissup19 haha lol well i g2g sleepy time in UK

  • I'm EXCITED for this!~ :D <3 I know I'm jumping on board with this :)

  • @rocka156

For your information it was Jim Lee who wrote "Crisis" and "Kingdom Come" and they were really good, something that was never told before.

for a stunt to get new readers this is a epic fail. How dare we wont be able to see Detective Comics Action Comics Superman and Batman go to 1000. Here is my beef stop relaunching comics and just focus on the story and cut the price down to at least $1 or $2.

  • Its just another big gimmick and why would they stop number runs of Action Comics,Detective Comics, Super Man, and Bat Man. CNN did not even give a report, but at least brought attention to comics when they mention that Spider-man is now black.

  • Superman! Woooooooooooo!

  • I'm EXTREMELY excited about this. A total reboot?! This is absolutely what DC needs. Grant Morrison and the whole Crisis nonsense fucked up the DC Universe so severely that something like this had to be done. Really.

This is great! I hope they don't fuck it up and and try to be overly "hip" or something.

  • The only hero that i'm looking forward to in the new 52 is Batman, coz Batman is the best!!!

  • DC's new 52 justice league#1 hits 200,000 pre-sales

  • I only read the Batman comic books so this DC reboot could give me a chance to start over and read other comic books that I never read before.

  • my list: justice league, aquaman, red lanterns, batman, flash, green arrow. :), (and possibly green lantern depending on where the story goes, cause i already love the way it was right now)

  • Faggot ass comic book niggas!

  • @ttredraider2017 obvious troll is obvious

  • was that static shock?!?!

  • @jacerokks Yes

  • @FUCKOFF6605 oh heck yes

  • Congratulations DC Comics you did the biggest bonehead of the story, are certain that many readers like myself, will read this shit that you (as well as these executives beasts) are transforming everything.

This destruction for years and years of good stories show us how much you respect the readers.

    Congratulations DC

  • I cant wait I really hope they are still selling Batman 1 after sept. 6 At my shop. That is something i need

  • SO STOKED!

  • GOOD LUCK DC

  • Thiz lookz so sexy!!!

  • Sorry, to be more clear. You can download all four "New 52" panels that were held at Comic Con from the Official DC podcast on iTunes.

  • Also, for all those who are nervous, worried or skeptical, go download the New 52 panel from Comic Con.

  • @ UltimateAmerica No, not at all. DC is not creating a new universe, like Marvel did with the Ultimate line. They are re-creating the already existing universe.

  • If you guys like dc comics come watch my videos I have so new ideas abbot the dc u that is going on now

  • so basically this DC New 52 is like what marvel did when they launched the Ultimate Universe line in 2000

  • It will be good for rookies but i don't think that this is a good idea, but is obiously that they are trying to get the same as marvel wth ulitimate series

In my opinion don't put all the history, all the crisis, all those years of awesome comics in the trash, just change of earth ;) they are 52 one of those have to be free of alternate histories

  • should appear at the end: "Stupid!" - the readers

  • Can someone help me out here. If this comes across as a stupid question then, well fine.

In this relaunch of many books there is for example Batman #1, Detective Comics #1, Batman & Robin #1, and Batman: The Dark Knight #1.

Are these going to be the same continuity/timeline? The same Batman as it were, in four books? And he appears to be in both Justice League and it's International counterpart.

Forgive my ignorance I just need a bit of clarification.

  • @MarkJoseph4 Ditto with Superman. Given his classic look in Superman #1 but sporting jeans and work boots for Action Comics #1 Are there two of them? Are there different Universes already?

    Befuddled. Help.

  • @MarkJoseph4 No, both of them are the SAME Superman. No different universes (for now). The "Superman" book shows a young Superman's early adventures, while the "Action Comics" is set in the "present" time.

The "Superman" book may catch up with "Action Comics", though.

  • Comment removed

  • @MarkJoseph4 Yes, all the Batman books you mentioned would be in continuity. The Batman that would appear in Batman #1 would be the same Batman that appears in Detective Comics #1 and the other two titles.

However, I don't know whether the events in all the Batman books would be taking place at the same time. It's possible that some Batman books chronicle some of his early adventures while the rest are set in "present time".

But they are all in continuity.

  • i'm mostly annoyed by the timeline

  • 2:26-2:38

"Superman's so positive. Superman is the idea that we created stronger than all others.

He never gives in, and you can't destroy him. And no matter how hard you try, he gets up again!"

I don't know why, but the way he said it, it gives me the chills!

  • ultimate DC? lol

  • It's hilarious how Grant Morrison is just excited to tell new stories and is trying to convey that feeling and everyone else in this video come off as sleazy businessmen talking about getting new readers and furthering the brand (i.e. make more money)... Grant Morrison, Savior of Comics.

  • All these cover did was remind me how few minority characters have actual starring roles in DC books. Hell, Mr.Terrific new looks is god awful, his previous Red,Black, & White look was better. While I'm glad Static is getting his own book they should've kept him with the Titans. Only good thing is Cyborg finally moving on up to the JLA forefront

  • i love GREEG LANTERN ! : )

  • i just got into comics so im super pumped for this :)

  • @MazterSpaz i also like the new 52, but i hate that they took martian manhunter out of justice league n put cyborg in it, another thing i'm not happy about is superman's belt n boots, i like the yellow belt n the "m" shape boots, he would've looked cooler

  • @nirobob24 That pic at least looks less bad. It still doesn't look like Harley Quinn though. It looks like someone dressed up to go to a goth club like 5-8 years ago. It's also like a simpler version of the Arkham City outfit and in which case why not just use that? If Harley went to do a flip in that new outfit, she would fall right out. When I do cart wheels in the Arkham City outfit I am held nicely in place.

  • @nirobob24 oh little troll did I neglect to feed you enough today? Have some pie ---->[}o (it even has a cherry ^-^)

  • @sonicyakk Huh? How does this look bad h t t p : / / cdnmo.coveritlive.c o m/media/image/201107/phpfAzezRimage.jpeg That looks so cool (close the spaces)

  • @nirobob24 oooo baby's got a back bone...The Joker is amazing and that character design sucks. It will change back or to something better. Frank Quietly's design of White Queen made me cringe in New X-Men but it eventually went away and so will this abomination.

  • @sonicyakk Designs change all the time, your stating the obvious. Even thou this design fits the character there will always be change.

  • @nirobob24 she's a slut because she dedicates her life to one amazing guy?? I'm arguing with a 14 year old aren't I...

  • @sonicyakk Shes wants an Abusive relationship, hes not amazing, hes scary, shes scary, they are crazy, one wants to whore herself out to the other and win him over, the other just wants to see how much more he can screw with her head. And there is nothing wrong with that, they just look the part now. Your the one visualizing me "fapping" when i tried to talk to you like an adult. Your not only Immature; your perverted and if I was 14 that would be some sort of sexual abuse.

  • Well I am from what they might call the old days...at first I was not feeling this at all. I am still one of those people that goes to the store and picks up his comics. Put I must say,is DC trying to piss off the old fans just for the sake of a few new one...oh well it's time for a little change,I am on board with this. Just make sure you guys do it right.

  • I'm not wholly excited about this reboot. I would like ot know how "new" each character is. Jason todd is obviously not rebooted.

want to see a review? visit reploidproductions and look for their review on i tunes.

  • I'm not wholly excited about this reboot. I would like ot know how "new" each character is. Jason todd is obviously not rebooted.

  • I think a lot of people are overreacting about this. Didio has already said that many of the major storyarcs are staying in continuity. He specifically mentioned A Death in the Family, The Killing Joke, Batman RIP, Blackest Night, Identity Crisis. Those are just the ones he mentioned, I'm sure there are probably more than that.

So this isn't really a hard reboot. It's more about making it less intimidating for new readers.

  • hang on, when they say digital distribution, do they mean REAL distribution or ipad-fag only distribution? can't find info on any PC downloads at all on the DC site.

  • 1:01 oh snap, is that a new red robin?

  • @nirobob24 I'm sure you had a point to make there but I couldn't hear it over that fapping noise in the background...

  • @sonicyakk Shes a Slut its a fact sorry to break the news to you.

  • Morrison, you creep..

  • FAIL give Harley here body suit back before she freezes to death

  • This is the comic book equivalent of launching "new Coke." Probably the single dumbest move DC has ever pulled. It is insulting to both fans and retailers. I think this is a great time to LEAVE DC. Make Mine MARVEL!

  • @rbarker227 They're releasing some new storylines. What's the problem? Dumbass.

  • Too bad this is just one big "f**k you" to the current readers. Don't get me wrong, I'm very interested to see how these new stories unfold - don't forget, 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' did something probably a lot more groundbreaking, and we got a lot of great stories from it.

  • i excited to see the new static shock

  • Comment removed

  • @ItsSoViewtiful I don't think they're expecting readers to pick up all 52 titles. They're just giving out a variety of characters to appeal to different readers. For example, the new Frankenstein series can appeal to people who love stories like Hellboy or Spawn; OMAC and Ressurection Man can appeal to readers who are interested in lesser known characters; and Batwing can appeal to people who love the Batman family. It's about appealing to all kinds of readers.

  • 52 new series????? DC Comics, you're doing it wrong

  • New Harley Quinn looks terrible!!!! Way to take a strong female character (and a doctor) and make her look like a complete skank. Congratulations DC on showing that you think your target audience is a bunch of young boys that don't have the proper ID to go buy themselves some actual porn. Rub a few out on the cover of Suicide Squad number 1 and then kindly put Harley's clothing back on kthnx

  • @sonicyakk I think her new look is more inspired by the Arkham games. Really, my opinion on the design will depend on how the character is potrayed. If she's a loonatic with some deep character development, then I'll accept it. If she isn't, then I say go back to the original.

  • @sonicyakk Shes a villian, your not suppose to look up to her, if you did its a failed character. And if Dc wanted to make it more sexy, why put wonderwomen and the rest of the female heroes in pants and something they can actully fight in. You have a retarded double standerd or refuse to see the truth. (She became a villian to impress the Joker, she IS a shank and a sellout and every1 is a doctor or some other high profile academic in the dcu dont kid yourself.)

  • what is the song? the name of the song in this video

  • Grant's excitement and enthusiasm about Superman is contagious, I can't wait for Action Comics.

  • Nice work guys!

  • I would be cool with it id it wasn't for the drastic change in costumes

  • The idea of actually revamping the series is fantastic. It doesn't mean that I totally reject the stories and comics I grew up with--they'll always be there, in my heart and in my memories. But I'm also excited to see my childhood comic heroes given a fresh start, and allow younger fans to be able to jump into comics without having to go through decades of comic book history.

  • MAKE TIM DRAKE GAY

  • I give it a year. By next summer there will be some big event that sets everything back to normal.

  • @facefacts911 Back to normal? This is normal. Do you not realize that its only a soft reboot?

  • You know what can bring in new readers? Better and more original stories with the same characters we already love.

By DC's logic, you can never enjoy anything if you come in late in the game. We all know the new Doctor Who failed because a lot of people hadn't seen all the episodes since the 60's, right? And you can't truly love your boy/girlfriend if you didn't know him/her since when he/she was a baby.

Let me know when they reveal all this to be just another Earth in the multiverse.

  • I'M STILL PISSED ABOUT STEPHANIE'S BENCHING AND BARBARA BECOMING BATGIRL AGAIN.

  • @AalzBobMarley Im sure you have a toilet. Go use it and let everything out. Then enjoy the comics! :)

  • Awful costume designs & dumbed down stories? Count me out, DC!

  • if its not a reboot then why cyborg is in JLA? didio, geoff johns, and jim lee is so FULL OF SHIT and after what they did with DC comics thank god green lantern movie failed!

  • I agree with "waiting until it's out", but at the same time, they're saying they want to cater to "new fans" and get them excited about the characters/stories - well *I* am one of those new fans. I just got into comics thanks to the Dick/Damian team up, and while they did a great job of pulling me in, they aren't doing a great job of keeping me. Almost everything I came to like will be gone/different; I simply haven't been into comics long enough to feel anything needed revamping. We'll see...

  • Comment removed

  • People, calm down. They have stated time and time again that this relaunch won't wipe out every story that has happened previously. The Killing Joke will still be in continuity and Barbra Gordan will still have all of her character development as Oracle. And yes, there's a possibility that Superman won't be married to Lois, but will it be permanent? No. So stop comparing to Spider-Man One More Day. The people at DC are not stupid. Not even Didio is that stupid.

  • My bank account will suffer come sept. fuck DC

  • Having it available on an iPad the day they're out is AWESME!!!

    Thank you DC!

  • bring on the new superman costume!

  • I'm looking forward to this. The comics could end up being fucking great and that's all that matters to me. I want to read good ass stories.

Plus this initiative is needed. The comic industry is getting smaller and smaller only catering to a select few. It's not like manga in Japan. If this thing ends up working out, we might get more people into comics. Which ends up sustaining the industry. We need to keep this industry going so my kids will be able to enjoy the characters I did growing up

  • I will buy it, regardless of the fact that probably this will be like the Crisis on Infinite Earths

  • Who here actually thinks this will entice more people into the fold who aren't already into comics?

(I am actually pretty excited for some of these though)

  • People need to RELAX! Just wait and see! OMG! I'm excited for some of the books, but i'm still in the wait and see mode.

  • @Channel23hahaha You're right, this is a normal and healthy move in Comics. The power in Comics is that everything is possible, timelines can be twisted and stories can be rebooted. And it's all about surprise, so this is good, enjoy. Should it fail to work? Hey we can resume, reboot again, anything :)

  • Bullshit. Return Superman to how he was you dickwads

  • Oracle is "stale and boring"? Bwahahahahaha! Good one!

  • @GamerSlyRatchet1 I think that was just an editing mistake. They were probably referring to characters like OMAC and Ressurection Man but that line somehow got on the image of Barbra as Batgirl.

  • I felt nauseous watching the Kool-Aid video... Yeah trhey want new readers, but at the cost of most of their current readership... This "relaunch" no matter how you package it is wrong, and I hope that it blows up in Dan "the egomanic" Didio's face...

  • Also, the digital comics is great idea. I can print them out , carry it every, and other ways that a print comic book can't do. Finally, I can read while doing my work at college. LOL.

  • I wish comic fans grow up. I think this relaunch is a great idea and it will help the American comic industry. They have to make something new or fresh. These characters are famous because they are changing and evolving each decade to stay relevant and modern. All things must changes. I'm looking forward to this because I'm excited. I'm almost gave up on comics because they look too generic unlike anime. I hope this launch give readers like realize that comics is a great media like books .

  • I agree with what they said in the video and I will still buy the comics but still you don't change superman's look keep superman clean. Anyways looking forward to the re-launch of superman and action comics in September.

  • @kenkraly2004

As a Superman fan, they didn't change Superman's looks. His suit is the same except the underwear is right side in. There hardly any changes.

  • i wish jim lee and dan didio would leave dc. jim lee's redesigns are always shit. at least grant morrisons involved with what happens to superman.

  • I'm going to give this relaunch a chance. Although I'm not going to get every comic (I have no interest in OMAC or Batwing), I still have hope that the writers and editors in DC haven't forgotten about how important their current readers are.

  • New fans (which will not come) are more important to DC than their core fans. Brilliant!
