  • I have seen video on here where He plays his SG with the Stooges and let me tell you I heard NO BOTTOM END THE BASS WAS NON EXISTANT! aLL i HEARD was THIN MID!!! HORRIBLE!!! ... .. ... .. ..He has genius playing and technique, but it certainly did not come through that Stooges Show... ... .. .

  • Wish he would've demo'd the product.

  • This is not really talking bass, per se. It's Mike Watt doing a promo, which is fine, I can dig that, we all gotta eat. But what I don't dig is the misleading title.

  • Mike Watt looks really good in this. A couple interviews there he was looking way too skinny, his face was even sunk in. Was a bit concerned because hes one of the greats and we've lost a lot of them in the last few yrs. Ive always said when Iggy dies the world will end.

  • the smile on that guys face when he sits down next mike...priceless

  • Tommy Lee is a rock musician?? =)

  • "I was born in chicago but I was actually conceived here" hahah

  • is it just me or does watt seem to become more spaced out lookin as he gets older. I still love all his stuff though. Watt is a BASS God

  • There's that phrase again: 'Let the freak flag fly'

  • Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Almost Cut My Hair

  • Is Eden a bass? I know it's a dumb question.

  • no, it's the amplifier company...not stupid if you sincerely don't know...that's the only way you learn anything...

  • am i made of cheese?

  • probably...lol

  • Actually it does say what Eden make in the text that starts this vid, so it probably was a dumb question after all

  • Did anyone see Mike Watt when he was on The Henry Rollins Show? He looked like he had had a stroke or something. He looks much better here.

  • i thought i was the only one who notices that. henry rollins asked him a ustion he didn't even look right at him. it was awkward

  • i meant question*

  • The Minutemen really did some cool shit.

  • I think it's nice to actually hear what the guitar tech has to say. After all, he is the one who makes sure the amps and sound are all set up so Watt can sound awesome no matter what venue they're playing.

  • That other guy (the sound guy sitting next to Mike) needs to talk less. They asked him like one question and he tried to take over. Then Mike's tries to get a word in and instead basically puts his face in his hands like "Oh I'll just let the dude talk."

  • yeah he almost looks like a cocaine buzzer

  • someone finally pretended to care what he thinks..cant be easy touring with a legend i suppose

  • well the dude had some good things to add at first but then all hell broke loose.

  • Wow, these guys really know how to talk about amps, amazing stuff.

  • All Mike Watt eats is squid.

  • Lmao

    squid and punk rock

  • I just leave sad. I appreciate the sentiment, Mike is great, but it sounds... sad.

  • Can't locate my friggin CD at the moment, but I'm 90-something percent sure that at least part of the opening bass is from Ragin Full On, and 80-something percent sure that it's from "Locked In."

  • it's actually "Another Theory Shot to Shit"

  • What is the music in the beginning? I imagine it's Watt but what is it from?

  • He plays part of "Forever - One Reporter's Opinion." and some other stuff.

  • Without the period after "Opinion." :D

  • Mike rules. Commercial or not. JMO

  • Is Eden based out of Kentucky?

  • The guy beside Mike seems Mike before the D.Boon's death. My Opinion.

  • I am not a fan of music commercials, but I'd watch Mike Watt do just about anything. The guy is just that awesome.

  • I'm sorry... I have the utmost respect and love for Watt, but this is just some lame commercial.

  • maybe just a commercial, but i got some insight of the mighty watt. I dunno, i see your point totally, but i'm a musician and a tech nerd :-/.

  • Yes, it's a commercial. Eden is slowly putting together a library of endorser rig videos so folks can see what our players are using.

  • Two of my most favorite things ever are my WT-300 and my WT-800.

    #3 is Watt.

Punk (and bass tone) is whatever we want it to be...
