  • $80000 take it or leave it

  • @RICHILITO1 : Either way the car was never mine to sell. I just work for the shop that built it (Pure Vision). However, the current owner bought the car just over a year ago at Barret Jackson for $175k so it's unlikely that he would accept either. My condolences though as I yearn for this car myself and treasure the few times I've been allowed behind the wheel!

  • You really would think that a Dana should be used wouldn't you? With modern metalurgy we've been able to repeatedly pound 800+hp through the 8 3/4s even using alluminum third members (assembled by Coast Drivelines here in SoCal). Pure Vision has been building Mopars for over 10 years and hasn't has a problem yet with these rear ends. They save our customers money (allowing us to focus on other areas) and they save a bunch of weight vs the Dana.

  • What tranny/axle/gears?

  • @MrJohnnyDistortion : Trans is a Passon Performance 4 speed with 4th gear being an overdrive. Axle is a beefed up Chrysler 8 3/4 with a 3.73 ratio.

  • @ph3s1968 R U KIDDING ME?All you have is an 8 3/4 rear axle in that monster?Hate to admit this but,I find it hard to beleive. What a monster of a car.The 1970 R/R/ is the best, most attractiveaggressive and sexiest body lines.Hard to beat the looks of this model year.Thanx for the info & post.MOPAR OR NOCAR!

  • badass satellite!

  • That is such a beautiful nose 0:30 - 0:34 music to my ears what a beautiful car.

  • Thanks to everyone for the all the appriciation! Just a couple notes, advice is always free at Pure Vision but you would need to give some insite on the feel and direction of the car to recieve a meaningful answer. Just go to our website purevisiondesign and send Steve an email. He's pretty good at getting back to people although right now we're working really hard to get this year's SEMA car off to the paint shop.

  • i think this is the coolest car you can see on the road today, and the best looking, i wonder if you can help me with MY 1970 plymouth road runner, but I dont think you can cuz i aint got the money XD, and it's still made of rust...

  • beautyful car wish they would help me with my 71 torino lol

  • Actually Pure Vision has done a Torino With the right amount they'd do urs for you too

  • sadly i dont have the money and i want to put as much as my sweat and blood into as i can just want to know what i should paint it.

  • Tell you what though you want some inspiration try and call up the guys from pure Vision and ask if you can swing by the shop and check out some stuff to get ideas. Steve's a pretty cool guy he might let you see the stuff from their torino

  • unless he lives in florida i doubt i could visit the shop.

  • ah nope the shop is in California

  • Your an employee at pure vision! You guys do some amazing work! Hammer is a bad ass, I got a 69' RR myself and plan to build it some what like Hammer, cuz that paint job and just the stance just make it look sinister!

  • Sadly no I do not own the car. I am an employee at Pure Vision where the car was built.

  • i thought this pulled 700hp on the dyno

  • You would be correct if you were refering to the old Supercharged 500 inch Wedge motor built by Nelson Racing Engines. That motor actually put out over 800 but they detuned it down to around 730 if I remember right just to be a bit more friendly on the street.

Hammer now sports a naturally aspirated though still EFI 528 inch all alluminum Hemi from Mopar Performance and assembled by Ray Barton. Not ment for killer power, just enough to be burly.

  • oh that's a shame they swapped the engine out. because it seemed to drive like a daily driver and it sounded call. but what i like about those ridiculous engines is the fact that u could say its got just of 700hp oh well the thing sounds cool still though

  • It did drive great (and still does) but Mopar wanted a high profile car to launch the new all alluminum Hemi engine and Hammer fit the bill. The car didn't get a Hemi originally purely because of weight, so when this opportunity came up the owner jumped at the chance to finally have his Hemi. Kind of like being able to give a big power number, its always cool to say you've got a Hemi under the hood. Unlike the power number though, its something that's easy to prove.

  • yeah nothing beats a hemi but to me this ruined the sheer lunacy of what the car was but yeah is this do u own the car?

  • gooooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddddddd I am fan number 1 plymonth

  • that's a 70 Road Runner ;)

  • pure beauty,

nothing else like it. (except for the 515 gtb charger)

  • she's beautiful, the big mean 69' road runner, it's a beast
