  • once I had the water pump pulley off I could see that it was wet on the inside. The coolant leak never got bad enough to see it on the ground. Thanks again!

  • Thanks for posting this video. My car is leaking coolant from somewhere but but not enough yet to see it on the ground. My hoses look good ( no wet spots ) so my next guess is the water pump.

  • Thanks zcomputerwiz, the pump went out on my 2000 Lumina and it was nice to do a quick You Tube search and find your video. Your video is quick and to the point and I could see how easy It would be to change the pump and it was. I just pulled off the radiator hose at the pump and drained a small amount of coolant into a bucket I placed under the car then reconnected it and replaced the pump. I was back on the road in no time.

    Thanks again.

  • any way you can give a better vid on those vents and how to properly do the job on it

  • I own a 99 monte carlo and there is coolant leaking from what you called the vent about the water pump and the base of it, what exactly is the gasket called?

  • thank you

  • thanks for the video, my water pump is super noisy. probably only an hour or two to change it out. i bet i could go quicker though :D

  • There is a vacuum hose above the 3 on the 3100 toward the windshield. where does it go?

  • @burdetterandall I think that goes into the cabin to run the climate control louvers.
