  • The more I see about Mike Gravel, the more I love him. If only I'd been old enough to vote in 2008.

  • I think Joe Biden still knows the issues better than everyone here. He's telling us reality and what to do rather than spewing talking points. Further more everyone here was unfair to Dennis and Mike.

  • 3:28 watch joe biden haha

  • 1:12 - Bill Richardson says, "there's a difference between the senators and me on when we get our troops out." That's gramatically incorrect, it's the senators and I.

  • No, it actually isn't.

  • who cares

  • Really wish Bill Richardson could've been president. I read his positions and plans for problems on his campaign website and they seem to be very well thought out and capable of success.

  • Comment removed

  • I personally don't approve of Bill Richardson, but the best you can hope for is a return to a pre-George Bush America.

  • an iraqui friend of mine once told me, one week after the U.S leaves iraq 10,000 iraquis will die in the first week, mark my words the man told me, removing saddam was the worst mistake, half of those animals needed a beast to control them, and you know what i agree.

  • Correct me if i'm wrong, but it seems like none of them have any family partaking in the war.

    Dodge, dipping and diving.

  • Joe biden's son

  • No one mentions that the US created the mess in Iraq because the US invaded because Iraq was switching to the Euro which was going to hurt the US in World Trade. Maybe Obama thinks that Vets coming home missing limbs should not have to pay for meals while healing in VA hospitals? Talk about getting out before we went in, is the correct choice and answer.

  • @alyceclover

well i guess survival of the fittest theory took place. USA saw a threat to their economy and herself, therefore came up wiht a quick solution to solve the problem. I was never for the war, but since we already invaded and withdrawn, all the money spent and lives lost at the war must be damn worth it.

  • i feel bad for mike gravell

  • Yes, Iraq is a police action, an illegal police action, kind of like the Rodney King beating and the 1968 riots at the 68 Dem convention all mixed into one. Fight back with Ron Paul!

  • thats true, this is police action based on intelligence, its not a war, people should stop calling it that, it just makes generalizations and stereotypes.

  • So, I guess President Bush permenently has his head up his ass? All I hear is how horrible he is doing, can we get him out of office now? can anyone say "impeach"?

If all the President is doing is hurting our great country, why are we not stopping it from getting worse?

  • Actually, the war in iraq has suddenly turned for the better. Southern iraq deaths are almost non existant, the total deaths has decreased by a drastic number. The Suni's(sp) are cooperating and trying to set up the govrenment, the shiites are not agreeing though. Lay off Bush, the war is not all his fault, it was the right decesion but it has been poorly managed.

  • haha. oh, wow. I can't believe people still think the war in Iraq was the right decision. It's pretty much clear that the war in Iraq was a mistake and the only reason stay is because it wouldn't be polite to invade, kill, and dismantle their government then leave. By the way, the southern Iraqi deaths have decreased because we gave it to the Iraqis. Let them govern their own country. We need not be there.

  • Absolutely right. Politeness has not a thing to do with it, its being smart and knowing what the outcome will be, before starting shit with another government. Sending thousands of soldiers in Iraq was the WRONG DECISION. end of story.

  • Are you serious? I'm not saying the war is Bush's fault, he has made what was already bad into something terribly worse. You do realize people die in Iraq everyday, not just today or tomorrow or a week from now.

Soldiers in Iraq are being killed right now.

Bush isn't pulling them out, therefore, his head is still in the up-his-ass position.

  • Hell no if Bush is gone, then Cheyney get in that would be much worse, and we all know that Bush is doing pretty bad

  • That's why Dennis Kucinich is fighting to impeach Cheney first, then President Bush.

  • did she say hope to goodness? cute

  • Kucinich looks like a nervous rat.

  • Biden's thing is telling the truth, Edwards thing is "The Real Question". Anyone else notice what the other candidates always go to?

  • edwards repeats things that Obama and Clinton say, he says stuff like "i agree with that" or re-phrases it himself.

    Gravel(sp?) uses shock value.

a lot of candidates dont get time to talk so idk about thier thing.

  • It's a common tactic, they're trying to steal the thunder from others. Clinton is good at it.

  • yeah i know but just because their good at playing the game of politics doesn't guarentee they'll be a good leader.

  • someone should ask a question about balancing the budget

  • balanced budget? who wants that. this is debt ridden america, who has a budget? lol

you have a point. that was the democratic platform for the congress, but this is the presidential nomination. so we'll focus on iraq, racial issues, and homosexual issues

  • Passionate would be a better word. President with backbone, brains, and integrity is long over due. That's why Binden is the best man for the job.

  • Biden is impressive. He gets my families vote.

  • Your being redundant. We heard you.

  • Passionate would be a better word. President with backbone, brains, and integrity is long over due. That's why Binden is the best man for the job.

  • Biden is Satan.

    I have proof.

  • Mike Gravel's my boy.

  • "Let's start telling the truth!" Oh my God. This one thing, he's probably right, but the other times he's said it, the answer is too unclear to know "the truth". Ugh slap him!

  • why is Kucinich being shut out wtf

  • Because the game is rigged...as its always been.

  • you tube is going to change the way we vote for our president....the only way to make youe opinion count is to vote....so back your shit up and vote!!! and make your friends vote too.

  • richardson is just too inexperienced

  • Yeah Biden is impressive. I vote either him or Kucinich...

  • WHYYYYYYY don't more people realize that Biden is the best choice of the bunch? It's soooooo obvious to me. He's the only one voting with his head and not for politics. He seems to be the only one that knows that George Bush is still the president. No way Kucinich is right. He's an idealistic phony who thinks we can end the war with Bush still in office. Biden is the only one that didn't get a hard-on when the Democrats claimed a NARROW majority in congress.

  • Kucinich is right. These other opportunists went with the flow at the time, while he was the only one who has been consistently against the war. The only one with the FORESIGHT then, and the only one with the FORESIGHT now to get us out of the war.

    Kucinich '08.

  • You idiots do not get it. Kucinich is the one and only candidate that will forge true change both domestically and abroad. We can't keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again ad nauseam! And kucinich is the ONLY one of them who has already begun to meet with world leaders. And they are actively excluding him from the debate because they know too much exposure would increase his level of support in the masses. You stupid pieces of shit will deserve everything you get!!!!

  • I am hoping a democrat gets into the white house in the next go round but Kucinich is an emotional twit with little logic. In this whole debate he just says what people want to hear without any clue that it is just not as simple as he states. At least Clinton, Lewis, Obama, and others on the panel are more realistic in their promises and those promises wont cause the harm Kucinich's reactionism would.

  • send your sons to Iraq

They dont want to leave the OIL behind

  • Biden is impressing me.

  • Maybe I'm naive, but I'm flabberghasted by the abject hate for Hillary evident by posters' comments. It seems harsher and cruder than any I remember seeing before. "Hitler Clinton?" Utterly ridiculous. I guess the anonymity of the internet really does bring out the worst in people.

  • Or does the truth of the internet scare you? You silly brainwashed person... knowledge is power, and right now the power behind this country knows things that they keep from the public that would scare you out of your skin.

  • Again, moderator tells Hitler Clinton "time" she ignores it and gets away with it, unlike the others.

  • obviously everyone avoided answering the question of how many of their family members r in the iraq war cuz none of them are

  • That's politicians for you.

  • It's scary when the only consistent one of all these is Kucinich

  • you can be consistently silly - Biden and Clinton both know what they're talking about - can Kucinich honestly believe that texting "PEACE" and abruptly pulling out WON'T create a vacuum for extremists? this is so ludicrous that it almost cancels out Kucinich's other statements, many of which outshine his opponents'.

  • Considering the problem with Mexico, a lot of us will not vote for Richardson who's part Mexie. That's not bigoted-it's fact. Biden is over-the-hill and Hillary's a power-seeking opportunist who retained her philandering husband thanks to expedience. Kuchinich is just plain weird. He looks like something out of The Munsters and talks defeatist garbage. Vote for RUDY.

  • metalk - you can be consistently silly; Biden and Clinton know what they're talking about - does Kucinich honestly believe that abruptly pulling out WON'T create a vacuum for extremists in the region? this is so ludicrous, it almost cancels out his other statements, many of which outshone his opponents'.

  • Kucinich was against the war from the start. Of course he knows that pulling out now would be bad, but that's why he also said, "that we'll use the science of human relations and diplomacy...work to settle your differences without committing the young men and women to war, unless it's absolutely necessary." Yeah, very ludicrous.

  • Richardson is annoying. He's not worldly but instead a New Mexican cowboy--a tortilla flipper--shaves with guacamole instead of Colgate.

  • Richardson's adorable, but not Presidential -- still, ethnic slurs aren't the most credible support for your claim

  • not true. He actually is and was a negotiator with all sorts of dictators and leaders. He has negotiated 1-on-1 with saddam hussein to release hostages, among many other things. He's not my candidate, but at least give him some respect he very well deserves.

  • I think Kucinich is highly respectable in every other aspect - but his flat-out call for peace contrasted with Biden's and Clinton's more rational outlines of a pull-out plan; if he has sound ideas for diplomacy in the region, he'd have been better advised to give a run-down of specific ideas instead of repeatedly saying "text PEACE"

  • He's a joke.

  • Oh, yeah, we want our men and women home safe... So lets find a way to kill more people that aren't on our side so that the people that are LEFT on our side can be heros! What bull. Just bring them HOME, NOW. It doesn't MATTER if our amazingly huge egos deflate a bit. They can afford to. This is a silly war, we don't need to waste more time, money, and lives piddling around in the middle east.

  • I SEE your copying and paste/ing my comment SAVE AMERICA!!!!!!!!!RON PAUL 2008 He has never voted to raise taxes. He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership. He has never voted to raise congressional pay. He has never taken a government-paid junket. He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch. LESS government, MORE freedom. NO IRS!! He voted against the Patriot Act. He voted against regulating the Internet. He voted against the Iraq war.
  • What is wrong with America. Have we turned into cowards??? Withdraw? I can't understand. Everyone wants our women and men home safe. We have to come up with a way to win. America maybe went into this war with eyes shut but I will be damned if we withdraw. The world is laughing at us. We have to fix it.

  • it can't be fixxed

  • With what money?

  • Why are they watching commercials, this is stupid

  • It's a shame that some of these politicians are more concerned about getting elected than they are protecting our soldiers. It's politics at it's worst when a candidate asserts the argument that IF YOU VOTE FOR a BILL THAT WILL PROVIDE PROTECTIVE GEAR, VEHICLES, ETC, YOU ARE FOR THE WAR or ARE DOING A BAD THING. bULLSHIT, because you're are using the soldier's lives as a device to send a message that will probably be futile anyway. Get 'em out, keep 'em safe in the meantime.

  • The bill in its final form may include provisions and money supporting additional forces or extending the war longer than it should. Congressmen have to face the choice of funding, and giving money etc now, but in turn also delaying withdrawl, or not funding, speeding up withdrawl and denying some equipment. Not even close to 100% of the money goes straight to protecting the soldiers so it's not that simple.

  • Hilary has too much to prove, she is too dangerous to be let in

  • As the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II approaches, Americans must ask themselves a troubling question: Did Hayek's concerns become reality - have Americans, in fact, traveled the road to serfdom the past fifty years? Or, put another way, did the Nazis lose the military battles but win the war for the hearts and minds of the American people?

  • the dripping propaganda of this so called debate would make even mcluhan cry,

the elections are rigged, they are only a consensus of our minds to see how brainwashed and how thorough the brainwashing is implemented, if we vote for anyone they do not appoint, the plan will be expedited

FEMA CAMPS, continuity of government, REX 84, HAARP, chemtrails, G.W.E.N. towers, North amercian union,

they use our troops for soundbytes, and applause, disgusting display by these failed humans,

  • Biden and Clinton are impressive in this clip. It's sad that everybody on that stage is more credible than the current ding-dong.

  • Loved this guy when he was on Imus

  • VOTE RON PAUL 2008!!!!!

  • honestly, richardson is the sweetest man up there. Hilary 08!

  • life's a bitch. y vote for one?

    anti-hillary '08

  • Hillary and Joe.

  • i respect ron paul, but allot of his supporters are such ass holes (not this one, per se') , they show up on liberal sites and do him a disservice.

  • Ron Paul '08

  • Who the fuck is Ron Paul? He's not even in the debate, obviously he's not that important and won't get any votes! Haha, seems like Obama got the most votes, then Hillary, and then Edwards!

  • Can anyone count how many questions Hillary and Obama got compared to everyone else?

    This debate was very unfair!

Vote for the woman or the black guy, that's what is being shoved in our faces

  • there is allot of time left. hopefully everyone will have a chance to be heard.

  • Did anyone every wonder why Obama got to be a big name in this election? He is obviously not every articulate, inexperienced, and dishonest.

  • Hillary voted for the war without questioning the intelligence that lead to it. Her record demonstrates she showed no leadership skills. Indeed, she has since refused to acknowledge that it was a mistake and has talked of attacking Iran. Is that the kind of experience that you want?

  • I have to admit that I like Hilary and Obama. I am Canadian. Though Hillary worries me in that she seems a bit cold, but tonight she did show some warmth. Obama is a NWO shill, yet, I can't help but like the guy.

  • none of them are real leaders besides kucinich maybe.. they talk like they dont get any information.

    Ron Paul 08

  • Gravel's commercial stunk. Also, is it just me or do these people agree on EVERYTHING, they just look for reasons to take stabs at each other. Gravel is the only one who is crazy enough to speak his mind. And it's scary.

  • how the hell is she a bitch?! she's not my personal pick but i can't help but think america believes every strong, intellectual women who stands and defends herself on her own is a bitch or just wants to be a man. that's disgusting.

  • Agreed.

  • I think this country is way overdue to have a female president. But there is NO WAY I'm voting for this corporate kiss ass. She'll be Bush-lite.

  • The more I watch these, the more I come under the opinion that Hillary comes off as nothing but a bitch. Any of the other candidates would do for me, except her.

  • Why do we care if a person "did not support the war" from the beginning? More than 70% of Americans supported invading Iraq. The problem with this war is how it was handled by the Bush Administration. Biden, distantly followed by Clinton, is only one on this panel that makes any sense about Iraq. In addition, we can't withdraw until we know the intentions of Iran and Syria in the event that we do so, but Bush won't talk to them so we don't have a clue.

  • "Why do we care if a person "did not support the war" from the beginning?"

The reason I care whether a candidate supported or opposed the war from the beginning is VERY important, especially if you look at their motivations at the time. A REAL leader would have the foresight to see the consequences of the actions they perform as best as possible before those actiosn take place. Sadly there is only one or two candidates from BOTH parties capable of this...

  • Only Sen. Hagel fits that criteria; he voiced concerns that no plans for after the invasion had been made public. However, a vote NO didn't constitute leadership. Due to many blunders by the Bush Admin, that vote appears to be on the correct side of history. True leaders make decisions based on the best info available, which was limited due to what Bush allowed congress to see. Bush violated our trust, and thus empty & unreal promises by most these candidates don't make me feel much better.

  • Hobobob 10 GREAT JOB with these!!! Where is part 12, and so on? Will they be up soon?

    Thanks, again!!!

  • I love how that ass barely mumbles time on "actual" candidates while provokes it much harder on the lesser known ones.

  • No one seems to want to face the fact that the reason the troops won't be pulled out is because we have permanent military bases there, and the establishment has decided to stay. This whole thing is theater to pacify the ppl with empty promises.

  • Gravel and Kucinich are the only DEMOCRATS I COULD POSSIBLY SUPPORT..... The only ones on that stage speaking the truth or you can go to RON PAUL.

  • Good job, UnderseaCaveman. You've touched on an important point, which is that Ron Paul is running for president.

Check out his interview with Google -- or anything else for that matter.

If you enjoy personal freedom, and you don't like how it has been reduced recently, he might be the candidate for you.

  • Hilary: "I have extensive work on this (Iraq pullout)"

WTF...... I wish you had done that extensive work you claim prior to WAR of researching whether we should go...rather than blindly (panickly) VOTING FOR WAR.

    RON PAUL speaks the TRUTH

  • That doesn't sound bad at all. Although I believe he proposed us pulling out of Iraq in 6 months and I was in the marines and served there. And let me tell you, there's no way we could get out of there in six months, you know? That's some David Blain shit.

  • That's true. That's why I'm not fully behind him yet. He show's that he might not know fully what to do when he gets into office. In that sense, Hillary would probably be the best.

  • To be honest some of these issues I honestly couldn't answer haha. Pulling out of Iraq? No idea... Social security? Couldn't tell you.

  • Why is it so easy to send them in at a moments notice, but it takes over a year to pull em out? If you fly 100 civilians out every day it would only take 30 days. Then do the same for the military and it will take probably around 6 months.

  • There's alot of other factors going on. WHat you are describing is a massive lineup of military personel and civilians "Waiting" to be flown back in. You have equipment and multiple other things. Alot of the equipment we have flown over there or built is going to be destroyed.

  • I could understand Edwards but Richardson not exactly. Then again I don't know too much about richardson. I'm trying to understand all this hype about Gravel though. Alot of Gravel's interviews I have liked and he seems to be very straight forward. What do you know about richardson?

  • Richardson was a congressman, a Secretary of Energy, a UN ambassador, and most recently governor of New Mexico where he has done a pretty terrific job. He has sat on the other side of the table negotiating directly with the likes of Saddam Hussein etc. He really has a lot of experience internationally, and he has a done a very good job bringing New Mexico to the forefront in solar and wind energy and education.

  • Hobo Bob! Are you putting 12 up? I confessed my love for you on part 10... Show me some love =(

  • I'm sorry for not showing my love as I should have :), but yes, part 12 is currently 52% uploaded.

  • awesome, how many more parts do you have to upload?

  • Well, I haven't finished splitting it all up yet, but I'm estimating about 20.

  • Hobo who are you going to vote for?

  • I haven't made up my mind yet. I like Edwards and Richardson. They're the two that seem to have the best plans of action behind their words.

  • while the US and the rest of the world was pressuring Israel to get out of the nation

  • funny because Israel was offered bunker busters that could have taked out the lebs rocket instalations thats were such a pain in that fight

  • just gotta wait for part 12 now, this debate is really starting to get interesting. I am interested to see how this works out of the Republican debate.

  • It's funny, I remember being told Israel had the technology to safeguard against IED's but the American government refused to use the technology and decided to develop their own, which would take something like a few years.

  • yes!!
