I have nothing against anette, i just don't like hearing my past favourite songs sang in that way. Its pretty much same as Tarja singing Whitesnake's Still of the Night. But it wasn't really bad, just female vocals doesn't fit that song.

@TehTroj with Annette, NW had to low 2 or 3 tones to be at Annette´s range of voice, and still is too high, if you dont believe me, listen to Dark chest of Wonders, sang by both of them, you will notice clearly, that Annette is forcing herself to go up...when she actually cant, and her voice sounds, harsh and sharp, nothing sweet at all

Seems like people forgot that it wasn't only Tuomas on those stages for all those years .. she sang those songs for a very long time she loves those songs and will continue to sing the songs she loves just as Nightwish does covers of so many other songs they love .. you all seem to love with Marco sings High Hopes or Crazy Train .. what no complaints that he shouldn't be allowed to sing Ozzy or Pink Floyd ? .. Dismissal for a reason other band members stated, inter alia, Tarja's greed of money and disagreements with the band.

WOW...I understand people really want to hear Tarja sing these songs, but hearing her sing these songs now without the origional band just seems wrong and a little inconciderate somehow. Especially, after she really wanted her own career.

Nightwish cannot play Master Passion Greed Live because of Marcello, Tarja's Husband. He will Sue them if they do. Because he knows that it is about him.
Nightwish Does not play Bye Bye Beautiful live anymore simply because of the fact that it is regarding the Dismissal of Tarja Turunen from the band. Therefore they did not play it live on the last portion of their Dark Passion Play, Deja Vu Tour. they USed Seven Days to the Wolves as their intro piece instead of Bye Bye

I really love the hair... I've heard her live, she is really amazing, much better than with NW... whole concert was sold out very fast here, I was surprised by her simplicity.. Tarja is certainly no diva, she just enjoys everything she's doing now and she is good at songwriting. "Oasis" is the saddest song in the world...

Every coin has two sides... and Tarja, Tuomas, and Emppu created Nightwish, so the fact is that she is singing a thing that she helped to create. I'm a Nightwish fan and my favourit album is Oceanborn, but now Nightwish are not able to perform those old songs live well(only Sacrement of wilderness is performed properly). If I want to see those songs live its good that at least Tarja continues to perform them well, (but of course I prefer them together, they were both better!) Good luck to both!

I can't Agree... I think Tarja and Tuomas were as you say "melting together" until Tarja got married with Marcello. Coincidence or not, the songs after Century Child were all extremely easy to Tarja's voice.
But it was in fact beacuse of Her voice that Nightwish left the idea of being an Acousting project! So even not composing the songs she also created Nightwish sound by adapting her vocal technic to the metal sound! Their Old sound remains unique because yes they really melt together!

I love Marco Hietala and Tarot, I think he is the best singer in the world after Dio, but Tarja Is better alone, now she can be her self, her singing is so much better and more personal sound now. After nobody remember anymore nightwish, Tarja Turunen will be better and better every year! Im so happy for her!

She will need Nightwish songs for a long time, but Nightwish not, because they are creating new sounds with the new singer different but at last new sounds for the band, It's sad because they could be much more big than they are now, but the DIVO shit of the singers make this cases, there are many examples: Tarja, Axl (Guns), etc. but sorry for them, at the end the band always last.

The only diva in NW is Tuomas, Tarja has always been down to earth and warm to the fans.
And BTW it's DIVA, not DIVO.
Axl Rose used to not show up for concerts or fall off the stage because he was so drunk or messed up on drugs. Tarja has NEVER ONCE done anything like that, so for you to say that about her makes you a lying bastard and a fool.

I really love the hair... I've heard her live, she is really amazing, much better than with NW... whole concert was sold out very fast here, I was surprised by her simplicity.. Tarja is certainly no diva, she just enjoys everything she's doing now and she is good at songwriting. "Oasis" is the saddest song in the world...

Hi guyz,in my opinion i dnt think tarja shud sing this song, imagine ur selfs as band members and u kicked ur main vocalist out due to many reasons,such as she wanted to get paid more than u guyz do,etc .. & then after she got kiked out she goes and sing ur bands songs or the songs made by the name of ur band.. i think that sucks & is cruel, tarja wants evry thng to be abt her,& i think thats so selfish even her bands name now is tarja turunem..nightwish were right..anyway thats jst my opinion.

I think is a good thing that Tarja don't stop to sing the Nightwish's songs, because if I want to see nightwish, I go to a teir concert, but if I want to ear the old-nightwish's songs live, I must have the possibility to ear the original, with the Tarj'as voice.

Every coin has two sides... and Tarja, Tuomas, and Emppu created Nightwish, so the fact is that she is singing a thing that she helped to create. I'm a Nightwish fan and my favourit album is Oceanborn, but now Nightwish are not able to perform those old songs live well(only Sacrement of wilderness is performed properly). If I want to see those songs live its good that at least Tarja continues to perform them well, (but of course I prefer them together, they were both better!) Good luck to both!

You see, I have nothing against Tarja, but nightwish and her was never really melting together, Tuomas was complaining that he must adapt compositions to Tarja's opera style, and Tarja wanted to make different music, and before all a solo carrier, and now she make nightwish bis, strange.
I agree, if Yoko Ono and Marcello meet at the right moment, music world would look different.

I can't Agree... I think Tarja and Tuomas were as you say "melting together" until Tarja got married with Marcello. Coincidence or not, the songs after Century Child were all extremely easy to Tarja's voice.
But it was in fact beacuse of Her voice that Nightwish left the idea of being an Acousting project! So even not composing the songs she also created Nightwish sound by adapting her vocal technic to the metal sound! Their Old sound remains unique because yes they really melt together!

but I think that Tuomas was somewhere, let us say, not so happy about this restriction what was Tarja's voice, but the success was there.
He told in an interview that he think that if they start with Anette and changed after this to Tarja, situation was much worser.
Tarja was always walking near the red line, and then she crossed. The result was separation.
