the vandal sword's rare drop is the muramasa. It is one of the best weapons in the game 8)

One thing i figured out after playing until this part of the game, i noticed that you sound like the avgn so ima give you a thumbs up on that one. but i do have a request though, could you like, show us footage of you backtracking instead of cutting it offscreen, it really helps us, first timers in a way. Okay two major things I noticed here one you didn't take the time to fly around and uncover the map in the big open space room where you got your Shaman Shield Oh and as well you didn't make mention of the Skull Shield that the Skull Lord drops. Two you forgot to tell about the Heaven Sword Dropped by the Cloak Knight. If you can get two of the Heaven Swords and equip them at the same time and use them at the same time you can get a really cool effect. :)

If you don't have the Leap Stone (double jump) that means you do have other places to go, search for the video in this same walkthrough and check out how to get it.

i think the rare drop from the skull lords is the skull shield... i got it on my second skull lord kill but check to see if im wrong ...btw its not that good... only a little bit better then the knight shield

the Dark Shield is also an Attack Shield. I like it better even if it is 3 points weaker in attack.

I have played through the game, trying to complete the map as well as the bestiary. I have all of the creatures in it except 1. I think it's the Vandal Swords between the Clock Tower and where you'd fight Richter.

Is there a specific weapon set or some sort of condition that has to be fulfilled for them to show up?

If you're talking about the swords that come to life once the nights are dead, you only have to kill the knights. There is no condition for them to appear other than you have to kill the night THEN the sword. The only other thing I can think of is the mudman that the Lesser Demon summons while he is a boss in the Library but not in the inverted castle.

That might have been what was causing them to not appear. I might also use the equipment that crimeinpartner used when he found them.

That really shouldn't matter as the swords don't appear as a monster till after the knights are defeated. In fact, I think I've beaten knights-> swords with Crissaegrim before.

I got one. You were right, it didn't matter what weapon I used. I am just surprised that that was the monster missing instead of the typical mud man from the Lesser Demon boss fight.

He stuck with the Jewel Knuckles too much. Versatility and battle prowess over strength. The swords are good enough and you aren't in someone's range or getting hit needlessly.

He can play as he wants though.

If you equip the Alucart Shield, Sword and the Mail, your name changes to Alucart. ONLY if you have these three items equipped.

There are other shields which also do damage. The Fire Shield and Dark Shield also cause damage.

The true benefit of the shield rod/medusa shield is realized when you pair it with the second gas power and a boss. Activate the shield rod/medusa shield, then immediately morph into gas and float in amongst any boss. If you can keep the rays on the screen, they will repeatedly drag back and forth, dealing hideous damage, ending most boss fights in 15 seconds. Of course, the shield rod/Alucard shield will cut that time down to 3 seconds. ;-)

i have the psp version of this from the castlevan x chron, i retained my alucard equip in the beginning by entering that room and imemdiately exiting that room, i did it like 3 times and when i entered it death was gone strange, but i remember doing it on the psx version might not work

Actually, Death just randomly placed the Alucard equipment all over the inverted castle. The Alucard sword and Necklace of J are located beyond the fight with Death.(Alucard sword in cave and Necklace of J in Floating Catacombs)

it's because you have to stop hitting them once they click; if you continue to hit them, the door won't open!!!

Yes, Winged guards in the chapel drop javelins and their rare drop is an iron shield.

good videos. also found out that for the vandal swords; their common drop is the Holy Sword, their rare drop is the Muramasa. One playthrough I was lucky enough to pick up a Muramasa from them

That's what I am playing it on. I made an ISO of my SotN CD and used espxe to play. It wasn't way too bad using the keyboard, although I have gotten a usb gamepad since I played my SotN LP.

I used an app called Alcohol 52% to convert my PSX CD's into playable ISO's for my emulator.

it is usb, and works with pc, AND 360!

Mixed bag on Anderson. I actually did like the 2nd RE, but those other two movies were terrible imo. I don't know; I think I would rather have a fan of the series who also happens to be a director than the other way around. I think he would put more emphasis on the continuity of the story that way, but eh.

Hey crimeinpartner, See I agree with you on that point and Apocalypse was my fave out of the three as well but three was just terrible IMO. I would love it if fans who where directors who would know where to take the game to movie movie's. I mean everything is getting a remake and or they are remaking all good asian films with american actors these days. I just cannot help but hope for the best with CV as it is one of my most treasured video game series of all time. Time will tell I guess.
