The helium balloon, being "lighter" that normal air, moves to the front of an accelerating car because the normal air is "heavier" and is shifted backwards in a car. Objects with higher density moves to the back of the car (when accelerating) and normally everything in the car has a higher density than air. However, the density of helium gas is less than that of air.
Det strider ju helt mot fysikens lagar. Pröva att göra experimentet med ballongen i luften, alltså med band fast i t.ex. säkerhetsbältet, så att den inte rör taket. Då borde resultatet vara annorlunda :)
and one more tip: if you breathe it you will sound like alvin.
